TPE stands for Total Power Exchange. The term refers to a relationship where the Dominant has complete authority and influence over the submissive's life, making the majority of decisions.

Yes, they call it an 'exchange' because we all know submissives are NOT powerless; but they may choose to give (exchange) power in a relationship to the Dominant who then...has all the power and of course, final say in things (generally, things previously agreed upon (not hard limits, etc.)) It's all very consentual, don't ya know.
