MasterDoc1 -> WANT bruising (8/16/2006 6:31:10 PM)

Am taking on a new sub who LOVES being bruised. However she is amazingly difficult to bruise. Other than the obvious (hit even harder) what else can I do to fascilitate bruising (they didnt teach this in medical school!).

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: WANT bruising (8/16/2006 6:57:50 PM)

Canes.

Tell her to take aspirin as long as it doesn't interfere with other medications.

Don't do warm-ups.

There's always cutting.

MasterDoc1 -> RE: WANT bruising (8/16/2006 7:43:47 PM)

Of course I thought of aspirin but it seems like there should be a better way. As the masterDOC I am somehwat philosophically opposed to cutting as anything approaching a routine behavior whether she wants it or not. Skipping warm-ups might help, thanks.

Does she go tanning? If so tanning may make it easier. It causes the skin to be more susceptible to bruising because the long-term exposure to the sun can damage your skin in a similar way to aging. Granted that sounds bad but people go tanning all the time.

Well wishes,
Saffleur

Thick canes are good, as LA recommended. Sjamboks are also very good. Adam and Gillian do a "rubber truncheon" that bruises well, too.

Use the edge of a dense wood paddle. Am I explaining this clearly? If a paddle is a book, and you normally hit with the cover, hit with the spine.

I have used paddles for years Monica and like your idea!

I tend to be incredibly hard to bruise, at least on my back. My breasts, now that is a different story. However, I have this black 4'' by about 12'', two sheeted, about 1/2 cm thick each industrial rubber slapper that Master EJ made from the Master's Quest in Tampa (dungeon and toy store), and it is the first and only thing that has left bruises on my back. I've been caned, whipped, paddled, smacked, punched, the whole lot, and nothing black and blue on that area of skin. It took the rubber slapper to do it. I really recommend something similar

Fire cupping can leave some hickies, but these didn't seem to last more than 48 hours, and only two of them lasted. Everything else faded within an hour.

diamonddreamlove -> RE: WANT bruising (8/16/2006 9:11:50 PM)

Rubber flogger bruises my behind and back but then i can look at the damn thing and bruise.  Have to laugh i am just the opposite love to play hard but hate the bruising that is left.  Just bought some cream to make that better.

mstrjx -> RE: WANT bruising (8/17/2006 4:49:40 AM)

From my experience, rubber 'anything' is going to be much more severe than their equivalent in whatever category (leather or some other sort of beastie in whips, wood or leather or another material in paddles).  Rubber should be able to cause bruising.

As far as canes, I have a couple of thin fiberclass canes that I would say would cause more 'welting' than bruising, so with a cane you would want something much thicker, more along the lines of a Singapore cane.

Although I haven't tried it with too many people (for obvious reasons), I was able to cause bruising on one woman's breasts by repeated slapping.  Due to the nature of distance and jobs, I could only see her on weekends, and I would still see faint marks the next weekend.

I agree... rubber anything

I very good friend of mine has a paddle cut from a tire & it leaves a wonderful tread mark bruise even on the toughest hides.

Don't get too carried away with canes, they can cause damage if you don't strike properly. If the tip actually wraps the impact is amplified & you have no control over that force.

edited to add... if you want to leave a decorative pattern a very good item is the dreaded evil stick family. They have pieces that are about the diameter of thin spaghetti & you can get rather creative with pattern & the little buggers sting like a bitch!!!

Interesting. I once sought out a blown out tire to use as materials, only to find it was reinforced with steel belting. Where did he find one without the steel?

Tamerofwild1s -> RE: WANT bruising (8/17/2006 10:22:22 AM)

I have a teak wood paddle with precision holes drilled in it . I have yet to find a girl who DOESN'T get bruised from that . or maybe it's how hard I smack em.

I also use canes and wooden hairbrushes . those will leave soem very nice bruises on the skin .. and if that doesn't work .. well I have a 1/4 in thick untreated leather strap . folded in half will surely leave a few bruises

HouseofBear -> RE: WANT bruising (8/18/2006 5:10:43 PM)

We have a friend who makes neoprene paddles made from sheets of neoprene rubber.  Used correctly, they can be very wicked.

nearly all treads are steel belted, either go for the sidewall or cut a lenth of tread then take a Dremel (sp?) with the pointed attachment to sand metal down a little

edited to add: best bet would to go for the full width of tread so that you only have the 2 ends you have to worry about the metal

MasterDoc1 -> RE: WANT bruising (8/22/2006 9:28:25 AM)

I was looking for something that would bruise without enourmous force/injury. Want her to be able to sit 2 or 3 days later and feel the bruise on her ass when she squirms in her seat. Will try the edge of paddle and look into getting something rubber that will work. Thanks for your help.

perverseangelic -> RE: WANT bruising (8/22/2006 10:57:00 AM)

IMHO, skip rubber floggers as (at least with me) you hvae to hit -very- hard to bruise.

I second canes though. You can flog/paddle me -all day- and raise lots of tender redness, but no bruises. 10 minutes with a moderatly thick cane andI have very pretty bruises.

Bearlee -> RE: WANT bruising (8/22/2006 11:18:04 AM)

I always worry about 'thick' canes and rubber whackers and especially Sjamboks...for actual BONE bruising.  Even paddels are rough for me...and put my back right out, long before I'm bruised much.  I think light canes are wonderful, if used with some force; or a hand...repeatedly slapped will leave a bruise.  I'd recommend a gloved hand, though!  LOL

In my mind, floggers are not for the purpose of bruising; they hardly ever do...unless hard, braided leather or thicker rubber or something.  Use a cane...the raised welts are wonderful, too!

I love 'em...always fond memories!

I guess it's my afternoon to mention web sites.

Even before the internet (you know, year before last), there was a catalog that I used to get from Adams Whips & Gillian's Toys.  Back in the early 90's I spent a bundle on a large variety of their gear.  Every penny is worth it.

One of the best parts is that they rate the severity of their toys (mild, intermediate, brutal, etc.).  Most everything is custom made from your order.  For instance, the handles of the whips and floggers come with a choice of color, weave, you name it.

I placed two large orders with them, a few months apart.  I spoke to Gillian on the phone both times (remember, pre-Internet).  The second time I called she remembered me from the first time.

Their web site should be www.aswgt.com (the 's' for 's'ensual).  Do check it out.

Make sure your sub is NOT taking vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, or zinc supplements.

"One of the main causes of bruising seems to be a deficiency in certain nutrients, primarily vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, bioflavonoids, and zinc." http://www.health911.com/remedies/rem_bruis.htm

"Doctors often suggest that people who experience easy bruising supplement with 100 mg to 3 grams of vitamin C per day for several months. Controlled research is limited, but vitamin C supplements have been shown to reduce bruising in people with low vitamin C intake." http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Ency/Index.cfm/id/1172006

Also, have your sub soak in a very warm bath prior to your impact play.
