Heh heh.

Scorpio, you're not the only one.

Fangs, re-read the thread, and consider which side of the debate D4US is on in the Darwin/Kansas thread.

Dauric.

I am constantly amazed at how the kristianoids and their brethren the muslimoids have the gall to accuse anyone of intolerance, lol!!! Your two gorups have hunted down, enslaved, tortured and killed anybody who doesn't believe as you do -- and now that you can't get away with outright murder, you cry and whine about Darwinism being intolerant??!??!?! It is to laugh for, or possibly vomit over...

But as someone said before: it's not fair to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent...

Pretty intolerant post, about the intolerance of others.

And wasn't it a little intolerant of his intolerance to point out how intolerant he is? Just asking

Yeah, but I try not to go around pretending it's everyone else that's the asshole ; I know what I am, as well.

Human life in general is living longer. We're beating diseases by building up stronger immune systems and becoming more technologicly advanced in medial procedures.

Not at all, it ain't 'medial'  procedures......it is better drugs.....

eat 2000 dollars of drugs a month and we extend your life such as it is.......
eat 3000 and you extend your options of ;living;

no, not at all.

Why must the fittest always survive?

They don't. There is a small tribe living in a cave somewhere in the southern Andes mountains waiting for Armegeddon and a nuclear winter to happen. They will then emerge into a new dawn and inherit the earth.

Level,

When Christians start reading their own fucking book and following it and working on fixing their own sins before worrying about mine, I might consider them decent human beings.

Imagine if the knuckle dragging social luddite born agains acted more like Jimmy Carter and strove to make the world a better place through their own quiet actions instead of worrying if two gays marry or if some smear of cells on the wall of a woman's uterous gets spit out to the world.

Funny about their priorities, the minute a gang of men are beating one of those gays to death or that child they forced into the world gets hooked on drugs they suddenly turn the other cheek.   The rest of us find that the moment to get involved and until those idiots join us, they can all go to hell as far as I am concerned.

Crappy, my problem is when someone lumps a group into a rigid, negative category, because almost always, there are those that do not fit in there. Jimmy Carter is a wonderful example. Anyone wants to talk about specific assholes, hey, that's when I can take what they say a bit more seriously.

Christians aren't anything. Jerry Falwell is an asshole. Jimmy Carter isn't.

Like it or not, a group tends to be judged by the worst face it puts forward. Not all motorcycle gang members are bad, but tend to be viewed as such. And when the majority of a group stands in silence while members of their group spread intolerance and ignorance, the group should not expect to be held in high esteem.

To judge all when one does not know all is a lazy way of thinking, to me, BA. I imagine most of us are guilty of it at one time or another, but I do make an effort to judge individuals, rather than groups. Then again, you have groups like the KKK, and their stated reason for being is so putrid, I won't waste much time trying to see the "good" in any of them.

You had to mention the KKK didn't you ? Why ?

Although twisted and bastardised through the years, the original intent of the KKK had very little to do with Black people. It had to do with carpetbaggers. This era, which they called the "reconstruction" was blatantly political. Mainly they wanted to destroy those who had supported the south, and the courts kept taking land etc., from,,, get this, the losers of the war. Go figure.

Actually they started out to hang judges and politicians. If they would've stayed true to their ORIGINAL purpose I would surely be a member. Hint : No real KKK member was ever on Springer.

Even the ACLU was a good thing at one time.

Speaking of intolerance, I am sick to death of people who can't stand intolerance. I am so intolerant of people who can't stand intolerance I would like to ex-partriate them to the moon.

I am so much humbler than most people.

Competitive co-operation - the social Darwinist paradigm is fatally flawed. Get your narrative straight if you haven't already.

I haven't read the posts on this thread, the title strikes me as rather stupid.  Darwinism isn't a philosophy unless you pick and choose from the ideas of natural selection and apply them to politics.  Darwinism is a scientific theory, and what it seeks to prove has no alternate rational and scientific explanation.  It is not tolerant or intolerant, it just is.

I only need to read the first post to know not to bother:

quote:

I am getting a little bit sick and tired of the intolerance that drives evolution.  Why must the fittest always survive?  Are we species simply going to be saddled with the yoke of Darwinism forever?  I think the time has come for all good people to follow the example of George W. Bush, and say no to Evolution.

Emphasis is my own.  "Say no to evolution"?  Then say no to the rational, thinking mind.

No, it's proof that humans are taking more and more potent performance-enhancing drugs.

How is it that records get broken? It's living proof that humans are evolving in being more endurant, stronger, and faster.
