Variant(s): also idea·logue [image]http://www.m-w.com/images/audio.gif[/image] /'I-dE-&-"log, -"läg/
Function: noun
Etymology: French idéologue, back-formation from idéologie
1 : an impractical idealist : THEORIST
2 : an often blindly partisan advocate or adherent of a particular ideology

I think my ideology is impractical in this system of things because it would require the system collapse for it to come into being. And most of what I think would be good for mankind is in the realm of theory.. I am not offended by the label[:D]

If you are taken to the emergency room after a serious accident & you ask the surgeon if he/she is a liberal or conservative then you might be an ideologue

Platypus, those who make the REALLY BIG BUCKS own businesses and property.
With all this "Globalism" stuff going on college graduates no longer can depend on good salaries!
Need Electrical Engineers? Just import 10,000 of them from China or India who'll work for half what an American Engineer will work for under the "H1 B" program.
Sadly, the days you speak of are behind us until we get rid of the "Globalism- "Free-Trade" B.S.
Look at all the  former "High Tech" workers with "Degrees" who are actually living in their cars in Calif now!
Everytime they ship 100,000 blue collar jobs overseas we also lose 35,000 white collar jobs like accountants, managerial positions, engineers etc who "support" those blue collar workers.
These days a "degree" doesn't guarantee you anything!
Of course everyone knows high school dropouts who started their own businesses and are now multi-millionaires.

Selective listening. ~ chuckle ~ I've been practicing that since birth.

Couldn't tell you what the rest of this discussion is about.

hmm, well....those figures are pretty recent, the past couple years.  How do you explain the fact that most large business reside in red states, yet people who make large incomes are in blue states?

I imagine those red state large business have employees that mostly make $12 an hour or live in Pakistan.  You don't have to own a company to make $500k a year, just be a doctor. :)

Also, to add to this, my mother has a highschool degree and makes $250k a year, but she does not run her own business.

Every conservitive thought today once started out as being liberal.
