Ask for her direction and find out how she prefers it to be done. If I have an inexperienced partner, I will tell them or direct them, depending on how they respond to instructions (some are clearly not predisposed to getting it if I just tell them verbally!)
Don't just dive in for crotch, as Ranger said, there's got to be a lead-in to the licking. Me personally, I enjoy slow and deliberate licks interspersed with sucking and WILL grab the head or verbally instruct whomever is on their mission to give them MY cues.
If she allows finger penetration/stimulation with toys at the same time as your oral worship, don't forget that. Some women can't get off without penetration, and that's important to know because you could be there until next week and she won't be able to finish.
It's also good to know if she is a g-spot ejaculator, one, so you are sure to stimulate that, but two, so you've got plenty of towels under her as not to soak the bed.
