....oh chaingang...don't you know that it's all hezbollahs fault? Under what form of law would Israel be held accountable for its actions? Not any form of international law sponsored or supported by the US.

It was obvious from the beginning that Israel was more intent on terrorizing the civilian population and causing damage to the Lebanese infrastructure. No doubt that was why they performed so badly against Hezzbollah.

As for the oil slick, I blame Hezzbollah for capturing an Israeli soldier. Why else would they be prepared to attack a civilian facility and cause such environmental damage. Not out of malice, I assure you.

Just a thought. Remember how the west berated the Saddam for setting fire to the oil wells and causing environmental damage out of a fit of peak? Strange how silent those same voices are now. Do I get a whiff of hypocrisy?

And of course Israel who blew up the oil field won't lift a finge to help.

History repeating itself. After world war one everyone heaped regulations and reparations on Germany even though they were just as devestated as everyone else in europe at the time. Hitler used the resulting resentmet to cement his power as the new leader of Germany, to justify agression against all of europe, and to justify the concentration camps.

And now they're giving people reasons to resent them....
