Status: offline 		Essentially, any time you do this trick, you will get a certain set of numbers - 25-7=18, 23-5=18, 58-13=45 etc....

Notice how all the multiples of 9 have the same symbol?????

Status: offline 		Very old mathematical trick. The old parlor trick had a further step or two that would guarantee a single result rather than a range of them, but I forget exactly what it was.

Status: offline 		Add the 2 digits of the number up to get 9, then anything is possible -  23-5=18, 1+8=9, 57-13=54, 5+4=9:

Round up the original number to the nearest 10, multiply by 9 (which you pretend not to know wht it is) add original 2 digits, and you have.....  THE ORIGINAL NUMBER!
Subtract 9, add original number, and you have the original number.
Other, similar stuff....

Example:   1234567.9 multiplied by 36 = 44444444.4

Status: offline 		nooooooooooo this is making me nuts.  It's a different symbol each time.  How do they know?  HOW??  HOWWW????  I mean, first I picked 42, then I picked 24 and it was a different symbol.  Then I picked 77 and it was a different symbol.  What if I had gone to 77 second and 24 third? 

The internet has finally invaded my brain!! 

That's it, I'm leaving, FOREVER!
