Has anyone used these and if so would you recommend them?

popeye1250 -> RE: Under Bed Restraints (8/18/2006 11:12:12 PM)

I have a set but I haven't had a chance to use them yet.
That's why I'm in this site![:)]

My x had some cuffs and a wenching cable he put the cable under and up the sides of the matress, worked like a charm.

I made something like this with nylon webbing and rivited it together so that rings could be pulled out of each corner for attachment points.  And more importantly, could be hidden when not in use.  It was handy to say the least.

I've used the Stormy Leather marketed around-the-mattress web bed restraints, and I've also used a rope & knots set up under the mattress or attached to the bedframe.  Personally, I prefer the rope/knots combo better because it can stay on the bed even after sheet/bedding changes.  The webbing would slip and rotate around, even when it was tight enough to squish the mattress.

There are LOTS of ways to do this with or without expensive items to purchase. How you set them up depends upon what sort of bed you have, the type of bondage you wish to do and the activities you wish to enjoy.
One can make simple strong attachments from old pantyhose by cutting the legs off high up. You can tie a loop with each leg piece. This can be around a bed leg, around the type of mattress support many motels have, or can connect with a rope to another loop on the other side of the mattress.

Usually all this can get tucked out of sight under the mattress when not in use, but can quickly be pulled out and connected with cuffs, ropes, chains or whatever other bonds you like via panic snaps, carabiners, dog clips, or even padlocks.

The loops could be leather, rope, neckties, chain, nylon straps, canvas or whatever, but panty hose are simple and cheap. LOL the crotch part of the hose can also be used as impromptu cuffs.

LOL some of us don't purchase these things and try them out to recommend to our customers!  The SL set was acquired through SL when I managed a fetish shop, as were a number of other devices that I received in "prototype" fashion from their maker.

But yes, as my post pointed out, a home-devised method of bed bondage was preferred over prepared models.

We've used simple clothesline (NOT the plastic coated variety), slipped under the mattress with loops tied in various spots for various positions. We also have a series of leather belts that are long enough for use with a king size bed, but have enough holes to be used on a full. Additionally, the belts can be used on chairs, or even alone for different activities.

The benefits of the clothesline is that it's simple, easy and cheap. The detriments of the clothesline is that over time, the line stretches and the loops need to be moved. Additionally, in use, these can stretch, giving me more movement capabilities than he'd like.

The benefits of the belts are that once on, I'm not going ANYWHERE. The detractors of these belts is that they are cumbersome to store, needing their own bag, It takes time to figure out exactly where the buckle will fall so as not to interfere in the play and yet give enough leeway on each side for variations in a scene without a major overhaul. The best part about the leather though is the smell... For some reason, being bound with the leather always puts me exactly where I need to be in my head for whatever's coming next.

The clothesline, he picked up at a k-mart for about 2 bucks. The leather belts, I got for him for significantly more. (No one's selling them so I had to talk to someone that does leather work and have them made for him.)

Beyond that, under the bed restraints are wonderful because while some people may play at home and have their room and bed set up for this, other people can't, and under the bed restraints allow restraint in play in any motel setting or other location away from the nice set up waiting at home.

What I LOVE about them is that because you're attaching one end of the restraint to the person on the right, and the other end to their left, they are, in fact, their own restraint system. And what that does in my head is kind of nifty.

A metal bedframe usually has holes in it. I tie ropes to that, and just keep them under the bed when not in use. When in use, I take them out and attach the sub to ankle and wrist restraints.

I've always been a fan of getting two apprpriate length chains, wrapping one around the mattress at the top, one around the bottom, then padlocking.  Use leather wrist and ankle cuffs, and padlock those to the chain - lots of possibilities there.   The chain and locks will cost you no more than $25, the wrist & ankle cuffs vary depending on what you get (easily purchased for around $100), but will last for years if you take care of them.

BrutalAntipathy -> RE: Under Bed Restraints (8/19/2006 6:38:43 AM)

I was recommended to an adult shop in Crowley, south east of Fort Worth, and bought a set of under the bed restraints there. They are velcro fastened, similar to Cathy Cuffs, and ridiculously overpriced, but the owner of the store was having a lousy week, and I felt sorry for him. They are easy to use, have good restraint ability, and are more discrete than some other bondage gear if you want to toss them in the trunk or back seat while traveling. My toy didn't complain about their being uncomfortable either, but in hindsight, she was gagged at the time.

Bondage sheets work great.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Under Bed Restraints (8/19/2006 7:31:15 AM)

I've never used a ready made set.

I fashioned my own out of a length of rope, a few strategically placed over-hand knots, 4 double ended clips & my set of leather wrist & ankle cuffs.

Works great, travels easy & fits any size bed or other furniture I wish to use.I have used this same rig on recliners, sofas, lawn chairs & multiple other furniture items.

I'd used odd sized pieces of hemp that came off spools of raw material after boiling, boiling, finishing and measuring.  The hemp rope doesn't stretch, and it's soft enough that it doesn't damage even the most delicate of furniture.

I'll second her on this, I've used this method and variations on it for the last eight or so years and it works very well plus is easier to use for things other than a bed. The last time I picked up some chain I went way overboard and bought some 4600 pound working load chain and love it, except when I've had to move it. I think the weight of chain can add something to bondage, it can cement into someone's mind that they are not going anywhere until you let them again. Once I've explained to them that the chain they are attached to could easily hold their car in place, there is not any doubt that they are staying put.

If anyone does go out and get some chain, I recommend to make sure the links are big enough for whatever padlock size you prefer to use and get the smoothest chain you can find. Pulling hair is great fun when it is your hand but not when a few strands get caught in the chain. You really don't need a super tough chain, anything rated at 400 pounds and up is strong enough to keep someone restrained and most stores that carry chain even have prepackaged lengths, usually 10 or 20 feet.

If you do a lot of traveling, especially flying, I'd certainly go for some nylon webbing under the bed restraints or rope and padlocks in your checked luggage. Chain is fun but not worth bringing on a plane, it will eat up a lot of your weight limit.

MisPandora,  I do not think I explained it very well.  The flat nylon webbing is like a big block number 8 that goes between the matress and box spring.  At each corner of the 8 is a lead that can be pulled out and brought to the top of the mattress.  The body weight on the bed keeps the webbing from moving.  It worked very well.  Maybe I should take a pic of it and put it on e-bay since I do not even have a King bed anymore.
