These aren't really s&m themed but they have s&m scenes.

"Real Men" an 80's film starring John Ritter and Jim Belushi has a funny scene where a shy plain looking girl turns out to be a strict domme. A similar scene is in the movie "Tomcats".

I remember "The Cell" Starring JLo also had strong s&m undercurrents.

There was also a 1970's police movie where they busted a dominatrix and one of the cops was being whipped while the bust occurred. The cop later committed suicide. I can't remember the name of the movie but that scene is very memorable.

Of course there is the Japanese movie "Audition".

The question, as it pertains to all the movies that have been discussed, with the exception of one that I saw posted, has been tossed out the window.

Mainstream S&m themed movies....(am guessing you meant actually viewable in a movie theater that was not deemed an "adult theater")

Caligula

Exit to Eden (which I saw someone else post, also.)

a Clockwork Orange (if that was not specifically based on sado-masochistic behaviour patterns, then I'll eat my left shoe, while listening to Rachmaninoff's third concerto in B minor.)

WAXWORK.

There is a DIVINE scene where the Marquis de Sade comes to life when a pretty girl steps into his exhibit. de Sade and the prince spend time discussing her as a filly that needs to be broken and then she is whipped. So damn hot.
