Meet Rebecca, a bona fide, self-described "pony
mistress." She drives around in a buggy pulled by
"Nemo," a Canadian gentleman who serves as Rebecca's

In "SECRET LIVES OF WOMEN: FETISHES," we meet several
women who are nice and normal in every way, save for a
human pony or two. Take "Alene," a happily married
mother of four. Despite her demanding job, gardening,
time at the gym, shuttling her daughter to and from
cheerleading practice she's still able to put in
quality time as a slave.
Looking to be submissive, a role she seldom got to
play at home with her husband or at her job, Alene
found herself a Mr. Right - a Mr. ALWAYS Right. In the
bondage world she isn't allowed to make any decisions
without her Master's consent, and she wears a collar
at all times to remind her of her vow. According to
Alene, the blend of pain and pleasure her servitude
brings is akin to an endorphin buzz, or a "runner's
high."
Similarly, Meghan gets that rush of adrenaline when
friends invite her over for dinner - to pretend to BE
dinner. She enjoys being trussed up like a pig and
sitting over a fireplace and rotisserie playing at
being the main course. She remembers all the "ooohing"
and "ahhing" the turkey got each Thanksgiving and
wants some of that star power for herself. You see,
Meghan is a cannibal fetishist.
Just what IS a fetish? Fetishists often use the term
BDSM to describe a number of related patterns of human
sexual behavior, including:
Bondage & Discipline (B&D)
Domination & Submission (D&S)
Sadism & Masochism (or Sadomasochism) (S&M)
Though many BDSM activities could be considered
painful or abusive in nonsexual or nonconsensual
contexts, in BDSM these activities are
enthusiastically sought out, with mutual consent of
the participants, and typically for mutual enjoyment.
Fetish's original meaning, and the one still used in
anthropological circles, is "magical charm." Today the
word is widely used to mean, as burlesque performer
and author Dita Von Teese puts it, "something, such as
a material object or an often non-sexual body part,
that arouses or gratifies sexual desire."
Whatever the reasoning behind fetishes, they're
certainly here to stay. You may not be ready for
slavery, faux cannibalism or animal husbandry, but as
we find in this episode of "SECRET LIVES OF WOMEN,"
lots of women ARE.
