Exactly!

For us, as a married couple, the collar symbolizes my desire to submit to him on a variety of levels within our relationship. It is another symbol of our commitment to each other, much like our wedding rings but with a different meaning. It symbolizes his responsibility to me and his ownership of me (which I give to him).

Hello, Although I've worn many a collars for many of Dom's over the years, I've never been collared. But I want to be, have wanted to be for years.

The one time I come close I've made the choice to leave that Dom for something that I had hoped to find, a true long term M/s relationship. My previous Dom was married and his wife was a Domme, I felt I need more.

I did find the relationship but not really the M/s. My husband is wonderful and he makes a fantastic Top, but he has finally admitted that this is not his lifestyle although he knows its mine. When we met, I brought him into the scene and he's learned from there. But for him its just fun on the side, for me its a way of life.

We'd talked about him collaring me, as this does mean something for me. We've even looked at collars that I can't take off, however, now that we both know where we stand, although I'd love to be collared by him, I know i never will be and its probably better that way.

I have since gone back to my past Dom, many years later. My husband knows him and respects and trusts him and his wife. And vice vesa. If I were to ever be collared, it would be with him, however, that is a long time from now, if ever. But it does take time and patience, as collaring is not something to be taken lightly.

Have been collared - thought it would be for life - well, so much for thinking.

Now? one wants to be Owned, and will be again someday. But a collar? one will know who her Master is, who her Owner is - will not need a collar to remind this one of that. A collar for play or during punishment is one thing - but do not need it to live life as a slave.

i've never been, however it's not for the lack of trying. i just haven't met "the one" yet. Seems the only thing harder than finding a Domme is finding one that want's a relationship.

I've never received a full collar. I wished for it with my former Master, whom I was with for three years (first year being vanilla), but it never happened. I am not anxious to be collared now, as I know it'll happen when the time is right and the right person comes along. It's not something to take lightly, and I'd have to have full and undoubting trust in a Master before accepting a full collar.
