My little one and I are not out to her family. The general thought is should they find out we will all deal with it but we will let them stay ignorant as long as possible. We recently got tatoos. Mine is the chinee symbol for Father on my chest (Over my heart) for my two unmentionsables and for her since she normally calls me Daddy. Hers is the Chinese symbol for slave on her foot. We told her mom the tat meant love when she asked.
Well her birthday is today and her mom and sister took her for a maiucure, pedicure, etc.. The Chinese girl doing the pedicure mentioned that her tatoo looked very new and was peeling. Her mom piped up, yes she just got it, it means love. The Chinese girl looked at the symbol and then looked at my girl with a look saying, I know what that means and its not love. My girl gave her a I know smile, sitting there thinking about am about to be outed to my mom and sister. The chinedse girl just lokoed at her and went back to work saying nothing.
I laughed hysterically when she told me, somehow though she didn't think it was nearly that funny.
