You're right - in fact the original epidemiological studies that identified Curcumin as a substance of interest were based on the observation that a study group in India had only 25% of the rate of Alzheimers disease as an analogous group in the US. Those people were just eating a lot of curry.

The reason I take the pills is that I am seeking convenience - a known dosage, and the freedom to eat what I please at every meal.
