todays cartoons are not the ones we grew up with.

here in the US- a better priority would be to lengthen ones attention span.

but why bother? will give everyone multple dignosises- multiple meds.

soma anyone ?  ;-0

ps- i tivo almost everything. if it is to much of a bother to push the skip button - ie- the pay off isnt big enuff- i simply erase the whole show. this lack of concentration transfers over to driving and human relationships too.

julia,

We'll cope, it'll be tough but we'll get through it. I'm re-written my letter as follows:

"Dear Sir, I want to die. Why you may ask? Well, you're fucking around with my Tom and Jerry. I'm on hunger strike til you remove the patches. There are people being bombed into oblivion in certains parts of the world but this is what really matters to me. Before I die of hunger I have vowed to hunt you down and hack indiscriminately at your knackers with a scythe. Be warned, this is no laughing matter. Yours, Mr Disgruntled from Yorkshire".

Regards

I have watched Tom & Jerry for as long as I can remember. Nowadays I have a thirty a day smoking habit.

Clearly, as this is due to the dire influences of said cartoon, (otherwise there is no reason to ban it), I should now be able to file a successful lawsuit against the producers for a few million pounds in damages? (or USD, I'm not fussy).

Have to keep this one short. Someone's at the door and I have to go prang them with a frying pan and then hand them a stick of dynamite.

E

If they really wanted to make a difference, they'd pass a law that anyone who has drawn a character smoking in a cartoon has to draw a new cartoon in which that character dies, after some months of suffering, of lung cancer, COPD, a heart attack, a fire started by a cigarette, an exploding cigar, or C. Everett Koop's bare hands.

Well on my side of the pond it stays the same right?
i hate to tell you but they have already been edited. they have removed some stereotype lines from the black lady that owned them while William Hanna and Joseph Barbara were directing them. When the Russian company took over it was the short fat solid white guy that spoke in mumbles. Once Chuck Jones took over then it was a white couple.

Do i know too much about Tom & Jerry?
