I've been very facinated by needles. The man i most recently dated was a Dominant who was also a registered nurse...needles was on our definite list of things to do.  Even though we are just friends now...i wonder if i can still entice him to do it...

liljoy -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 3:46:33 PM)

i bet you can

If not, maybe you can entice someone else.

yummmmmmmmm... somebody had FUN!!!   Lucky you!

I'd share my picture...but I've only had needles in my breasts and am suddenly feeling very shy!  LOL

liljoy -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 4:14:20 PM)

as i said it was very cleansing for me that scene wasn't about fun it was about healing but yeah it was fun too :D.
i understand about the shy part. i only have one pic of my breast. it doesn't have needles but quills. my former put them in to look like whiskers and then had someone draw kitty faces on them. i call it the itty bitty kitty pic

I love needles.  That is my very fastest route to subspace.  I was a bit afraid of them the first time and yes they do hurt but in reality are a lot more gentle sensation than many other things I've tried.  I'm kind of wierd sensation wise.  I find wax play excruciating and absolutely hate the hot sensation.  Now, however I had several hypo syringes inserted and birthday candles put in them and lit and thought that was fine.

Slipstreme -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 4:48:54 PM)

Fire, your pictures are very lovely, and those feathers. I love them! I am wondering though, in ritual, do you do anything before to prepare or anything? I don't really know much about scenes done for a spiritual purpose. I've been thinking about incorporating meditation in before scene or after scene. I have become rather interested in the ritualistic and spiritual aspect of masochism as of late, realizing that there is more to it for me than simple enjoyment of pain, but what it is, I have yet to find out..

liljoy, your pic is very nice too, neat pattern. Kindof reminds me of a Navajo design.

BTW, a month ago was the first time I let anyone stick my body with a needle for a non-medical purpose. I know letting that one needle pierce my flesh helped me finally get over my fear of them. Now I'm fascinated and can't wait for the next time. Same with the staples.

Anyway…let’s talk experience and education here; on the positive effects of needle-work.

How delicious! I have yet to try them but I'm very curious and really like the idea of other items being utilized in conjunction. I think I'll save the nipple insertion until a later date. But I'm willing to experiment nonethless.

Master Fire,

The images were simply awesome. Thank you for sharing them along with the information regarding SLC.

Slipstreme,
TY i haven't felt staples yet but during a class at Thunder where the instructor was showing a staple gun. Sir leaned over to me and said "by the way I have one of those" all i could do was shiver and grin.
Can You describe how the sensations differ or do they?

Actually, I was a tad disappointed to find out the needles hurt worse. It's a sharp sudden pain, similar to the needles, only it disappears quickly and doesn't have that much an after burn. One neat thing about the staples, though, is they can be left there for up to three weeks, and you can jiggle them around, which feels kindof neat as they pull on your skin. Push them down and it hurts more. They hurt more when they are first put in than when you remove them. However, removal is a bit more painful than removing a needle, as they do form a solid line of metal under the skin, they have to lift away from where they bent around and pull out again with a special removal tool. Pulling them out can cause more harm than good, because of that fact.

I had three, one in my arm to try it and two to close a one inch stab wound on my wrist from stupidity (although I was going to leave it open, I eventually submitted to staples, mainly because I knew they would cause more pain). Don't play Mortal Kombat with knives with your friend and a violet wand. Stupidity happens. I sort of miss my staples and my wrist sort of remembers them there from time to time.

LOL... he teased you with a staple gun and didn't use it on ya?  Crud...Thunder woulda been perfect!  I was there this year too...

Can you tell us about 'quills'?

Bearlee -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 5:19:38 PM)

I remember seeing a girl with staples up and down the inside of her arms...and along both sides of her back.  Light, thin chain was attached from arms to back; effectively making 'wings'.  It was beautiful...

Slipstreme -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 5:33:32 PM)

That sounds so neat. I think I saw a picture similar to it, but it was sutures that held the wings in place, while the woman was being suspended. I think hers were ribbons. There was also another person on collarme who's profile picture showed her back done up in needles, with long white feathers coming off them like angel wings. I'm thinking one day I should do that, only with brown feathers (one of my furry character's is a brown owl).

Yeah I'm really hoping for a needle/ staple scene this weekend. I'm still sort of still squemish over the needles. I noticed, even with that one in me, eventually I got squicked in that it had to come out and thus, pulled it out. I'm glad though to see that fear melting away.

It's hard getting over the fact that I plan on eventually letting someone place 4-8 8guage piercings along my upper back, and lift me off the ground with hooks. So, I figure I better prepare in any way I can :P

liljoy -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 5:42:24 PM)

lol no worries or complaints on that count. He gave me plenty of sensations and we had a blast without the staples so i can wait for them.

gosh maybe we went to some of the same classes? Admittedly i didn't make it to many classes because it was our first weekend together as a couple and we spent alot of alone time.

Quills, yes i mean porcupine quills are pokes directly into the skin but go in only a fraction of an inch. there really isn't much sensation going in but it can feel yummy when a row of quills are stroked. removal causes a bit of a sting and the longer they are in the more sting because they work themselves in further over time

Bearlee -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 5:49:54 PM)

Wow...as a child I once collected such quills on a camping trip...and put them in a plastic bag with my cloths.  Needless to say, as I rifled though my clothing later...the quills worked out of the bag.  I got one in my tummy when I put on my jammies for bed!  It was awful.  The quills are barbed, which is how they work themselves deeper.

I know now, that you have to cut them to release the 'vacume' that hold the barbs in place.  Did you have to do that, as well?

GateKeeprsJewel -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 6:23:05 PM)

Joy dear? Quit drooling! LOL
Actually for some odd reason, my skin doesn't take to needles or sutures too well. It's like my body is fighting the penetration and the pain is a bad pain for me.I have actually bent sutures! Could it be the elasticity in my skin?Or maybe too much tanning in my lifestime? Now if ya wanna talk cuttings,I'm there!

jewel

liljoy -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 6:30:57 PM)

nope no cutting them. did clean them by soaking in alcohol tho. part of why it was so awful for you was the oil that is on them

liljoy -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 6:48:32 PM)

jewels!! ~hugs~
i can't stop drooling. you know what a needle slut i am. i did my share of tanning as a kind but not into adulthood. if you tanned more than that it may have toughed your skin. course it could just be because you're such a tough cookie

genusnpimptress -> RE: Needles! (8/23/2006 6:53:54 PM)

OMG! I had always thought that needles would stay a hard limit, but after this posting i think i am going to reconsider.

As for staples, i am not sure about all that. It seems the more i lurk around the msg boards here the fewer limits i  place on myself , but i had never heard of staples...*blushes* I'm still new to all of this pls forgive my lack of knowledge.
