Do you ever find yourself thinking about people from your past? The ones you never meshed with for some reason or other. Did you ever try reconnecting? If so was it successful or a total disaster?

I tried it once a few years ago, the spark was completely dead, and it hadn't been that bright to begin with.

Actually, someone I was friends with and then dated briefly in college in the 70's recently "found" me through Classmates.com.  I had felt for years that he might have been the one I "let get away", but life went on.  He's happily married, but it was still really cool that he remembered me and thought enough to look me up.  We've been emailing and catching up.

Think about them yes. Go back to something that is gone, no.

Although ocassionally I may wonder how someone I used to know is doing, I am very happy with my present slave/wife and would never consider meeting up with anyone in the past.

I have tried doing that a couple of times, but it never worked.

I alway figured it didn't work for a good reason.  A few I've remained good friends with, but not with any intention of seeking out another spark.

I look back at the past now and then.  It makes me happy I am in the future.  I graduated 25 year's ago from high school.  Personally knew and hung out with 804 of the 808 people I graduated with.  My speech at graduation I said something to the effect of I will never look back.  I never really have and don't really have any desire to.  I've stayed in contact with very few.  Never missed anyone.
If I never meshed with the person in the first place, I doubt I would want to mesh with them in the present.
Though if you read the question the same way most did...a love lost.  Well, no on that account to.  I had one boyfriend in high school and college.  Still today he is a breath of fresh air everytime we see one another.  Yet, I don't regret leaving him after a five year relationship either.

Lost loves do reunite though and with some great success, just not in my case.

Personally I hope I never see any of the people I went to school with ever again (yes, bitter - but with good reason)

On the other hand, most of the people I've worked with in the past I love to come across again, and being in the same industry for so long, it usually happens at some point or another. Its having a common interest in our industry that provides the continuity and something to talk about I know, but its still good.

Special people I let walk away? Yes - there was one, but that person left for home in Europe, got married and now has kids, so thats gone forever. I do wonder though, how things might have been.
