i am writing a story for my "Hope to be Mistress," and i am not familiar with all the equipment in the BDS&M lifestyle. i went through the postings... (not all of them) but i could not find a link like what i am wanting.  Not only am i seeking the names of the equipment, but also what it is used for..... if You can help i would be grateful.

In regard to heavy equipment, that is dependent on the interests of the individual and space constraints if any. You may wish to peruse dungeon websites to garner a few ideas. Good luck.

I have to say that Sadie's site is a nice list, but certainly not THE list for all BDSM play.  As a Domme with a gag fetish, I take issue with her last section listing gags as something you should "definitely not buy" as a "new Dom".  Even when I was a new Domme, I always included a gag and a way to let my sub know if he needed a break.

You might try http://www.sub-shop.com/index.asp and http://www.thestockroom.com/ .  These sites have pics and typically a description of how they are used.
