The cruelest shoes i have are not the highest heels but the heels with the most extreme downward slope. The angle is almost completly vertical. They are gorgeous shoes and always get attention, but it takes me a few days of wearing them again before i can go any distance.

littlesubjess -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 7:50:34 AM)

My everyday office shoes that i wear for work are 4" ... i wont even look at or contemplate buying below 4" ... i just dont see the point.

My "going-out" shoes tend to be 4 or 5" and my play shoes around 6" ... they never stay on long lol.

but, on the shoe-subject, i have my eye on those ballet heels, you know where you are practically "en-pointe".

Also, on the shoe front .... as a recent punishment/humiliation, Mistress made me go out to a really expensive shop in a pair of her shoes (we are the same size) ... they were these horrid "granny" pumps that she wears for driving. yuk - theyre horrible. this, along with a ban on make up and hair brush, and a particularly scruffy outfit, made an excellent punishment. im quite particular on what i wear and how i look. and the store is very pretentious and posh lol ... i got a few dirty looks and made me feel silly ... good humiliation ! lol

"High Heels". What size is most comfortable to wear for you, 2", 3", 4"?
At what height do they become uncomfortable for you?
What would you consider "everyday" or officewear?
I've seen some in catologues that have 6-8 inch heels, more like "fetish" shoes not for everyday.

I'm pretty comfortable at 2", 3" or 4". None of that is out of the ordinary for me to wear, as I'm only 5 feet tall. I often wear higher ones with a slight platform to them- my highest pair I own right now are 6 1/2", and I do wear those with astonishing frequency- hell, I even wear those to work from time to time- but I don't often wear shoes for work anyway- I have other footwear that my job requires most of the time. I'd say the majority of my shoe collction has a minimum of a 2" heel, and I prefer at least a 3" one for most things.

As far as comfort goes, a lot of it simply has to do with how the shoe is constructed. I hate "pizza toes"- those really pointy-toed shoes. More rounded out in the toe works best for me. Chunky heels are also a lot more stable feeling, and I like a little platform to them. I've also found that "wedge" heels are way harder to walk in- and I hate when shoes mess up my natural stride. If I can't walk in them properly, I won't wear them.

Tammyjo! High heels are *SEXY*!!!
I'd only have a sub wearing them around the house as she was attending to her duties in her maid's uniform or in a scene or out to dinner at a fancy restaurant or a live show.
Not all the time of course!
You can't wear them to the beach or anything like that.
The pool maybe![;)]

That is one opinion.

Since I happen to play with, train, and own both men and women, I frankly don't think they look sexy on anyone else and I certainly don't think they feel sexy on me -- confining, yes, but that to me is not sexy since I'm not a bottom.

If I had a female slave who wanted to wear high heels she can do as she likes when she isn't with me but when she is, I expect her to wear things that make her more attractive to me so those heels are off.

Personally I prefer barefeet on my slaves and submissives not because of any attraction to the foot but because it functions as a symbol of their status in my eyes.

darkinshadows -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 10:12:23 AM)

I am a barefoot kinda girl, but I do love to see my feet in heels - just not walk in them!
The height depends on the show itself.  Over 4 and I have to have a strap or back - otherwise I just cannot keep them on.

But give me barefeet and nailpolish anyday.

I am quite comfortable in high heels.  The only time its hard to walk in something thats around 4 inches is if there is zero platform under the ball of the foot part of the shoe.  When I buy high heels, I look for heels with a slight platform (of about 1/2 inch or so) this way the foot is not on a complete downward slope.  The platform lifts the front of the foot a little bit, making the slope downward less extreme.  I recently bought a pair of stillettos with a 4.5 inch heel with absolutely zero platform and they are a bit tough to walk in, but I just had to have them.  Theyre in the closet safely waiting for a hot date.

The highest pair I own is 5 inch.  I usually prefer chunky heels over stilettos. Any higher than 4-5 inches and shoes begin to look "cheap" and "slutty", to me.

For every day wear, I do have some flats that are very comfy, but I usually wear a casual shoe with a 3-4 inch heel.  I only stand about 4'10" and its just easier to function with a nice big heel on. This way I can reach the coffee cups in my kitchen cabinets.  lol.

I can comfortably wear up to four inches for long stretches of time.  Anything over that and I become a clutz.  The pointier the toe and the skinnier the heel the better for me.  I absolutely adore ballet boots and would love to own a pair.  Of course I wouldn't plan on doing much walking in them.

justheather -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 11:55:33 AM)

When I met my sig other, I bought some pretty shoes with heels on them. Then I got my first taste of winter in the country.
If I wasnt wearing my TEVA snow boots, I was wearing my SORELS.
And honestly, that suits me just fine.
I wear...
Birkenstocks.
Earth shoes. (they actually have a negative heel)
My cowboy boots have a little 1 and something inch heel on em.
That's about as high as I go.

GoddessDustyGold -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 12:05:24 PM)

3 to 4 inches for the most part.  I actually don't like the the fashionable but very short and kind of spiky 1 or 2 inch heel.  And the others remind Me of granny shoes. Except for the character shoes used on stage, that is.
I like a higher heel.  The hell itself does not have to be a spike, as long as it is tall and attractive.  I am short and these shoes give Me height and elongate My legs.  I also tend to lean toward open toes and strappy styles.  I am comfortable in them for quite some time, but I am often ready for a nice foot massage when they come off after several hours.
The 6 - 8 inch heels are not even very attractive to me, and I know I would not be able to wear them.  I feel like I am tipping forward and there is nothing attractive about a Domina falling on her face!

zumala -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 12:48:19 PM)

Personally, I'm not the heel-wearing type.  I don't even wear sandals that often because I like to be sure of my footing when I run.  When I do wear heels, because of work or a special night out, the height of the heel and my comfort level depend on how the shoe is constructed.  If it's not pointy-toed and tight, I can do 3 or 4 inches for a while.   I have a pair of black boots that have a 2 inch heel but next to no padding.  Those are okay for about 4 hours, then they start to hurt.

LadyMarmalade1 -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 1:36:01 PM)

Even though I'm already quite tall I used to wear at least 3 inch heels anywhere anytime.  Then I discovered the comfort and practicality of clogs and it all changed.

Generally, I don't wear anything with a heel more than 2 1/2 inches, but today I wore my lovely 4 " high sandals, that really make me tower over everyone else, and I felt great.  However, 3 hours later, I'm laying in bed with my legs up and throbbing in pain, wondering if it was really worth it.

Steelriven -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 1:57:12 PM)

I have very small, flat, and wide feet. I also have small ankles and thick legs, go figure. I have NEVER been able to find a pair of regular shoes let alone high heels that fit. I want a pair of real leather boots one day... I've always had this problem. At my sister's wedding I wore ballet slippers. I've been to a hundred an one stores. Some day I'll have to get a pair costome fitted.

prdslave -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 2:04:47 PM)

3" is the highest Ive worn, and I only wear chunky heels. I cant wear them for very long either, Ive got almost completely flat feet. My shoes mostly get worn when im out, but once I get to wear Im goig - work, home, friends house- the shoes come off again. When Im driving long distances I am barefoot too. But oddly enough, shoes are a weakness of mine, I love to try them on, and go shoe shopping

diamonddreamlove -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 4:42:09 PM)

Broke an ankle a few years back and have metal and screws in it so heals are not wonderful but the lower the heal the better able i can manage it.  For the same reason i had trouble with sandles for a long time was a delight when i could start wearing them and as for the heals am beginning to wear a bit of a heal again but does get extremely painful quickly sometimes.  I do need to get some shortly tho because i am going to spanksgiving with  a Dom that prefers heals luckily the leather corset will take my mind off the pain in my feet lol.

eyesopened -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 4:53:20 PM)

How high a heel can be easily worn will depend a lot on the length of a person's foot.  i'm 5' 2" and my shoe size is 5-1/2 and i am able to wear 3-inch heels all day long, 4-inch heels if i don't have to do a lot of walking or standing and 5-inch heels if i'm just required to look good and not do much of anything else LOL.  An 8-inche heel  without platforms and the heel would be higher than the length of my foot and that just doesn't work.

SexyRed -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/25/2006 5:03:18 PM)

I am 5'7". I used to be obsessed with high heels, running around the NYC streets in stillettos. Not anymore. Too much pain!!!

Now, for work no more than 2 1/2 or 3 inches. For going out, the same and for play, they can be up to 6 since I won't be standing usually.

I am better able to tolerate high heeled boots than shoes and I adore boots. Those Manolos and Jimmy Choos are gorgeous, but very few women can wear them all day.

MisstressStella -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/26/2006 12:56:32 PM)

It depends on the lady.  Some women only wear heels and others hate heels.  The "pain" factor comes from the muscles in the calve. If they are short they are more comfortable in heels if they suddenly wear flat shoes it can hurt because it the muscles may be stretching and cramping. The higher the heels the leg is used to the more flats hurt.

sophia37 -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/26/2006 2:58:47 PM)

2 1/2 inches can be comfy. Non platform 3 inches I can tolerate for a few hours. I wear a size 8 sandal but these days, shoes seem shorter, so closed toes are a size nine. I use shoe inserts in all my shows. To me those are key. If you want a high shoe, platforms will bring you up but not give you a heel thats too high.

I think the biggest factor is the shoe itself. Payless shoes are aobviously inexpensive and usually those wont give you a comfort shoe. I pay more money then hold onto my shoes longer and get more use.

TNstepsout -> RE: Question for the Ladies. (8/26/2006 4:11:42 PM)

3-4 inches is most comfortable, but I can go a little higher if the shoe is a very stable type. If it has a nice platform or is a wedge, or the heel is wide and chunky.
