Ok, my 2 cents (and I used to sell these things):
Pyrex.
It's scarey, it's glass, but it's sooooooo Goooooood. your body tissue kinda adheres to it, plus clean it up is easy, pyrex is silicone lube compatable, you can put it in the dish washer/boil it for extra sterilization, and you can use it for cold/warm play really well (yes, it goes in the freezer, cause it's the same stuff as casrole dishes),
and they are really hard to chip/break..I used to slam them against the counter as hard as I could as a demo of how durable they are.
You can even get some pretty good ones for cheep, I actualy started out with the Archer , I got it with my discount, and frankly I was very intemidated of useing Glass on myself...and I'll add I had never had a toy give me a G-Spot orgasim before (I had even tried the notorious rabbit) and well....You can imagine my shock when that little sucker did it, and in combo with some clit stimulation from the Hitachi Magic Wand, well I'm a little week in the knees :D
But I liked these so much I have 5 of them now, and have dirty dreams about one day getting a Phallix Glass one, because they are so pretty.
I will say a good midrange brand is Don Wand, They give you this great puch that holds your toy when you buy them, so thier 35-90 price range is really triple worth it.
