Our favorite "noise to go to sleep by" is the Coast to Coast Show on the radio. It's a nationally syndicated program that is geared to the 'Twilight Zone' type subject matter. On New Year's Eve they have all the callers make predictions for the coming year.

Anyone care to make predictions for 2005; lifestyle related or other?

Actually Merc and Beth Im not too good at predictions but I do enjoy your posts and find them very well put together so I for one would be interested in what you guys think lies ahead for 2005 :-)

Hmm let's see. I predict 3 more family death's this year. (yes, they are already sick)

Paddlers will continue on.

I will be cruising in Alaska this summer. Spending the 4th of July in Nebraska.

I will be married to my Dom by year's end. I'd love to have a cabin again. That isn't a prediction just a hope.

Overall it will be a year that I will grow from. I will recover. As I always do. I will help a great many people over the year.
It will be a great year. Saying goodbye to some and hello to new friends.

I predict the birth of a healthy baby boy come this new year...

I predict the death of at least one family member whom I am very close to.

I predict that my life will change drastically within the next six months.

I predict that I will be married by Christmas Eve 2005... (well at least I hope)

I predict the start of a new life for me...

I predict that The Boston Red Sox will finally win the World Series. What's that? Really? Never mind...

ruby,
Thanks for you kind words.

Don't know if this is a prediction, a hope, or wishful thinking; but I predict that there will be a severe backlash to the proliferation of censorship and sexual repression in the United States. As usual, it will be stem from a financial cause. Soon all broadcast channels will run out of 'reality' series and have to hire writers and actors, and create scripts that offer intelligent entertainment value. When that occurs they'll find their audience has matured, and the Sopranos or Sex in the City style 'Adult' programming is the only programming sought by the desired demographics. The networks will then realize that the Howard Stern 'Cause' is also theirs, and challenge government censorship will all their legal might.

This girl predicts the following at random:

Master will spend the majority of another year deployed to another third world like country in the "name" of democracy, as He has the past 4.

she predicts that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe vs. Wade ( not that she wants it to so no killing her in this thread..lol just the appointment possibilities with the oill health of two members are frightening)

she predicts that the low carb craze will go away..no one can live without bread forever.

The tsunami tragedy will spar some sort of medical pandemic worldwide.

I'm with you Sabrina; I predict an invasion in another country such as Iran or South Korea--sad to say for you and your situation.

Personally, 2004 was a great year for me (new house and new husband) so I predict 2005 will continue with my happiness.
I hope 2005 will be great for you all as well.

I predict it'll be like 2004, only with an odd number at the end instead.

And failing that, oh I don't know, the Pope is actually an alien, and Cher will be caught drinking the blood of virgins to stay young. Elmo will be found to be both the anti-Christ and a NFL draft pick.

And I'll make my first post on this here website. Go me.
