There was a movie and one of the characters was an angel (or at least a girl with wings), whose mother left, and whose father kept cutting her wings off. As a grown woman (which she was in the movie) she had scars on her back where her wings used to be...anybody have any ideas?

i thought this sounded familiar and then i realized, there is a similar scene in x-men evolution. angel's father catches him cutting off his wings in the bathroom. i have no idea which movie you are talking about though...
