ok- ill try to explain with out being too fragmented. you know how you think of someone- and as it turns out they were just thinking about you ?? thats what i wonder here. for no reason a fling has been on my mind. i wont pester him as he apparantly moved on as per agreement. he isnt one to phone- he has driven and "found" me at a number of places around town back in the day. it is almost 3 yrs as i think he got spooked over some hard times i was going thru. [hes married] but- i redid my license plate and got a nicer car - so him passing by would prove nothing. so how likely is it- that he thinks of me ? i know this sounds dumb. we had some good times.... but as i said... the agreement was when it was over- it was over. ?? im crazy. thanks

No, not crazy. It may or may not be true but I certainly think it is possible.

i know i periodically think of past freinds...some of which i do phone every now and then. [as long as 1 year] its different then the pleasantry "i was just going to call you", maybe we routinely think of everyone [anyone that had an impact] in our past at random, [weather it is non-platonic or platonic]

It happens to me a lot. I think of someone I haven't talked to in awhile and voila - the phone rings and there they are. I have two friends - male and female - who used to be a couple. I retained a good friendship with them both. I don't talk to either of them frequently but when I do, we pick up where we left off before. About 80% of the time, when I receive an email from one, I receive one from the other, within minutes. Go figure. Once they both came in at the same time. I couldn't tell you the number of times I wake up from a deep sleep, only to have my phone or IM ring about 30 seconds later, and there is Master. Several times I have pulled out my laptop to write to him about a topic that was heavily on my mind, and that same day he contacts me, saying "I was thinking about such n such and want your thoughts on that." I don't try to define it. I do not doubt it exists. It just "is" and I rather enjoy it.

I see nothing odd in telling someone that you have been thinking about them, hope they are happy and well, and relating the positive things they gave you that added to your life. In my view that is a beautiful gift to give someone, the knowledge they touched you on that level, especially when you know it is over, and just want them to know that part of you will always remember them fondly.

Hi Julia, now that i think of it- we are near a holiday. i thought i seen 2 of his properties for sale. [building lots] when i was browsing listings online. for this wave of thoughts, im simply going to let it pass. he never told me NOT to call him. he had told me to always mind what i say on the phone. there is the ?danger? that if i call and say "so how have you been" would mean, "can you come out and play".... best to let that past stay there. it was a curiousity passing thing on his part- it was entertainmnet and good times for me, but im older now. maybe stingi[er] then before. suppose he verbally told me- i dont want you calling me again. that would be crushing. tho probaly irrelevent. i guess some of the puzzle - is that people opt out of our lives all the time. people die, or move away. sometimes we know the reasons, much of the time we can only guess. as much as he had radar to locate me around town, im sure he could locate me. [sorry to sound whiney in this thread. just thinking out loud i guess] talk about living on the edge. [tho] we went right up to the line a few times. Isn't that called "think of the devil", similar to "speak of the devil"? Considering the laws of opposite attraction, there's no telling what he may be thinking about you... You may have to start thinking bad about him yin... to get him started thinking good about you yang? de ja vu'

So it's over. That does not mean that you can't remember having a good time. There's nothing wrong with keeping a good time in the back of your mind. After all, one can only think so much on there bad memories before going insane. If you have a good memory, you should keep it. After all, living life and having the exprience is better than to have not done it at all. I'm farily confident that he has you as a good memory/experience that he can reflect on from time to time. Due to his marriage and possible social pressure, perhaps he may never come to terms being who he is but he atleast had a taste of it. Those memories will be with him for a long time.

Hi fangs, what i like about your posts- is that they are often thought provoking. One thing i learned is that i cant/wont define who someone else is for them. the indidividual must reach that conclusion - if it all crashes in- it is on them, not me. this morNing im thinking due to less chaos in my life the past week- might be why im pensive. some of the topic could be the pros and cons of leaving the past there, in the past. something im a firm believer of. one cant go back- just cant. life goes forward. now i wish this weather system that is stalled would move on, it needs to rain here. must be the hurricane.... the temp is fine but the weather is soupy w pollen. yikes, thanks for the reply! :-)

Hell i just dreamed of an ex last night. Strange, as i can still picture his smiling face at me through the crowd. (in the dream) Aye and he just appeared out of no where and about the time i realised it WAS him.. his girlfriend appeared and he was gone. i think everyone thinks about sometimes the ones in the past that meant something to them so to answer your question, yes i'm sure he thinks about you

The oddest thing hit me the other day. I bumped into an old friend of mine. As we were catching up on old times he asked me if I ever dated a girl named Cindy. I thought for a minuet and then recalled dateing a girl my freshman year in college. I said "yeah, about ten years ago. Why do you ask?" He went on to tell me that one of his co workers talked to him about his wife and went on how a guy named Clint dated her almost ruining the chances of them getting back together. My friend and him debated or not if I was the same Clint. After remembering the past I said yeah, that was me. Why the hell after ten years would Cindy and Daniel even think about me and bring me up in conversations about there relationship? I've moved on along time ago. After ten years and a marriage, why wouldn't they have moved on? It was never even that serious of a relationship to begin with. I fooled around with this chick for about two months before they decided to be back together. Even though they are now married, how long can this guy keep a jealous grudge against me? If he's still pissed at her for dateing me for a brief time, the relationship can't be doing that great. Anyhow, it is odd to have that sort of blast from the past come back to me. But it's nothing I'm going to worry about or ponder on. I can't spend my time thinking about whatever happened to Jr High, High School, and College aquantinces.

I don't know how many times I've thought about an individual and just a few minutes later they would call or even better turn up in person. Pain says I'm just wierd for like that ... until he's trying to track someone down that he needs to talk to 15 minutes ago ... Go figure.
