erms......i am not sure how this works somehow, cos ive been caned a couple of times & all that happens to moi is become a little tearfull, though i try my best not too be- though i imagine peoples psychology works in different ways and people have different pain thresholds and deal with pain in different ways.

I beg to differ here, there have been many a times when I have been on either end of a suede flogger and you better damn well believe there was pain.
 
I also have an instrument of pain that I use to snap at people with, she isn't called "The Bitch" for nothing.  Yep, she makes noise, and yep she makes people make noise too.  She can also bring about blood blisters.  There is nothing nice about her, except my enjoyment in using her of course!

Status: offline 		I'm not a male submissive or bottom, but I have known men to giggle or laugh when receiving impact play, and not exclusively out of nerves. I don't remember precisely, but I don't imagine it was flogging, because I just don't flog much. Sometimes it's because they perceive something as absurd. Sometimes it's because someone involved has done or said something funny or silly.

ive never laughed during a spanking , it would be considered rude, and would magnify the lesson or the degree of pleasure administired to me

Status: offline 		i have laughed while being beaten with a flogger, however it was beacause of a much different reason, first i had no idea i was going to be tied, then i was tied and two guys started whipping my ass, i was so affraid that all i could do to get any sound to come out from the fear was to laugh and i laughed so hard and long they cut me down and tossed me out of the house. this is a true story.

Status: offline 		Not male, not a sub, however, I've *never* had a male submissive break into a fit of giggles during a flogging.  Females, yes.  Giggled before I even started, actually.

OK, there was one male that was snickering, but I was telling jokes.  It had nothing to do with the flogging! LOL

Yeah, well you've never met one of my boys who used to say, "Mistress, are you tired today?" and "Is that all you've got?"  He'd get to laughing and generally being silly, all the while having the snot beaten out of him with a decent sized acrylic cane and that was the cue to ramp up the intensity to the point that he completely stopped making any coherent sounds.  I only wish I'd have recorded it!  He's the only one that I've full-force used the sjamboks on.
