Hi to everyone and Happy New Year.
Firstly I apologise for not introducing myself earlier. I was so excited to have found a forum where I enjoy reading the threads, that I got a bit side tracked. IMO there are a lot of people who have some very thoughtful things to say and I am very glad to have stumbled across this site. So thank-you to all the people that post, especially the ones that have been in the lifestyle for a while, I appreciate the opportunity to read and learn from your experience.
Now to me…mmmm I’m very new to the bdsm scene and I have a wonderful dom with whom I am sharing amazing experiences. I, like all people, am a mixture of things:
I am playful and quite mischievous. I am a girly girl, I love to wear high heels, I love to wear nice clothes and I prefer to wear makeup than not. I love to travel and I enjoy learning languages. When I was younger I was extremely serious, now I am regressing. Sometimes I can quite cheeky (tongue in cheek) but not in a disrespectful way.
I have always been Miss Independent, if my car broke down or got a flat tyre I would be the one to fix it. I’m quite the handy man around the house: move over Tim the Toolman, gotta love a power tool. I have a very aussie ‘give it a go’ attitude about most practical things in life.
In my work life I have invariably been in Middle/Upper management and it has often been said that I am strict but fair. I am thorough often times pedantic. I work extremely hard and in the past have expected others to have the same levels of commitment: silly me on that one. In the professional realm I have always lived by the philosophy of do as I do. (Not do as I say)
I laugh out loud when reading a good book, I cry at movies and sad songs and I am very jittery watching a thriller. I am tougher on the outside than I am on the inside. I used to be a very, very private person and I still only have a few friends with many acquaintances.
I have always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie; I enjoy surfing, rock climbing, scuba diving, jet skiing, snow skiing, etc, but I was extremely conservative and shy when it came to by body and my sex life. So much so that my dom refers to my time before him as my ‘librarian days’. Who’d thunk I’d let my hair down and throw away those horn rimmed glasses; he did obviously.
I have always been terribly curious and need to know how things work. Yes I was a WHY? child. I have a real need to understand and to this end I have joined collar me, reading the threads has helped me understand some of my reactions to my experiences and hence more about myself.
