The purist "parilla" method: One sweet Italian sausage (this kind has fennel seeds) grilled over charcoal or wood. When fully cooked, place it in the center of a sliced roll of French bread. Then hold your sandwich together by hand, eat it bite by bite with your mouth. If the juices run down your face or arms occasionally, then you are doing it right. Obviously, you will need a napkin to tidy up. Enjoy.
