Are these activities kinks or fetishes?

I think (though I am certainly no expert) that psychologically a fetish is the sexual excitment or stimulation of a person aroused by an inanimate object that has (biologically) no function in sex. Using this definition, a person who is aroused by shoes would qualify as having a fetish, but someone into spanking wouldn't. Are not spanking, ass play, strap-on penetration, body worship, roleplay, nipple torture, hair pulling and control etc, not merely sexual kinks?

Also, (and please forgive this after thought), I should admit to my own desire to be dominated by a Woman while she smokes a cigar. I don't think this is a smoking fetish as I do not smoke myself, nor would i, and i can be aroused (sometimes quite easily!) without the involvement of a cigar. Does anyone have a comment on this?

Yes one might think it is natural to include that....personally though I am dubious of those that have long lists of loves, likes and lives for...I find putting out enough to peak the interest works for me...I like discovery and to be discovered

This is what I was taught a fetish is. As with many things some folks use the term very loosely.

The closest thing I have to a fetish is collars -- seeing someone in a collar is a great way to get my attention and it is a solid sexual turn on but it is not necessary for sexual arousal so not a clincial fetish.

Thinking about men with foot fetishes is sort of a fetish for me as well. As far as kinks, I have many.

I agree that men who have foot fetishes are a bit of a turnon for me, too. I don't know why... perhaps it is because their own fetish is looked upon as disgusting by the majority of people (I have known two men (online only) who had foot fetishes, and both were highly ridiculed by others around them), but I like to indulge them in their fetishes by sending pictures of my feet or talking about how I like to walk around barefoot. Perhaps it is simply knowing that something so simple can so easily arouse these men, I just love it. Can anybody explain this? Perhaps somebody with experience in psychology? I would also like to know if my indulgence of their fetish would be more of a Dominant activity, or submissive...or could it simply be both, a desire to provide them enjoyment (submissive?) and also personal amusement at having such control over their arousal (Dominant?)?
