ohhhhhh I loved the Postman Pat series..hah
but then I have a question..why does the mail you receive always just..disappear after a month or two or something like that?
and second...do you remember all names you have contacted? I got this mail today, I think I have never spoken to the person before but yet they are stating that they missed talking to me.....and I don't remember and I can't find out because this damn mailbox cleanup makes it impossible for me to find out. But I just wanted to ask..would you be offended if you send a mail to a person after a long time and they don't remember you and they asked you to kindly refresh your memory (I assume that if we spoke we didn't spoke a lot because otherwise I believe I would remember)    and yes I'm talking about the mail here..

The "how could you have forgotten me" approach seems  fairly common, at least by what crap e-mails make it through my filters.

I've even heard of being used at R/T gatherings of folks who largely know each other online.  It made someone I care about very uncomfortable.

Delete and move on.  If they were worth a damn, you'd have remembered.  Unless you are into being punished for imaginary offenses by an insecure Dom.....

I wouldnt be offended. I get emails all the time and unless something stands out I'm at a loss. This of course is not true of the people I talk to on a daily or weekly basis, but more those who I haven't spoken to in some period of time and never really did build any type of relationship with.

Of course, I'd have just sent back an email saying something along the lines of "refresh my memory".
As I do alot of volunteer work in my community I run into people all the time that seem to know me. I'm almost always asking  Where did we meet?, Which comittee was that?, or something else along those lines.

On the whole people don't seem to mind and if they do, they've certainly never said anything to me about it.

Perhaps you and the sender have things in common... they may not recall either?

Did they ask you any juicy stuff like how is your dog benji doing... do you still drive the Hummer... has your scar healed over?
If not, then you can probably cap your guiltiness at 50%... they can get the other 50%.

Messages swim back upstream after about 45 days or so... they feel unwanted after that long and nature calls.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have an excellent memory and keep pretty good records of who I talk to- I occasionally get someone saying that we've spoken and I will (not so nicely as you) point at that, no... we have NOT.

I am pretty sure that this person is just saying that, or you could always ask them what you talked ABOUT and see if it rings any bells.

You seem sweet, good for you to give them the benefit of the doubt!
