Hi,

Does anyone here have any RL experience with a violet wand? Like the sights, sounds, smells and sensations? (Sorry about the alliteration.)

Yes, and I loved it. I was blindfolded and tied with my arms and legs apart, then the wand was run over all parts of my body...especially that part. It was a great sensation...sort of like a mild electric shock that didn't hurt. It was very erotic. It sounded like static electricity. I highly recommend the fun.

Yep been on both ends
enjoy the new multicolored
ones that are purple and pink!

Yep, I have experience. Personally I'm not fond of them. I do LOVE electrical play though. Even developed toys to play with. It stings a little. Not a lot a violet wand is based on static electricity. If you leave it on too long you can actually get a 2nd degree burn. Just depends I guess on how long you play with it in any certain concentrated spot.

For the most part if you just run it over the skin rather quickly it's innocent enough.

Does'nt do much for me though.
Not worth it for the money. Although that is only one persons opinion.

Midear January-

The VW is one of those things- some think it's the greatest thing since the riding crop, and some HATE it ( and not in a good way). I'm with Gloria on this one- it leaves me kinda cold. It's fun to play around with, but it's rather limited (IMO) and for the money I could fill a bag with implements that I'd get a bigger kick out of using.

YMMV, of course.

I've never had the pleasure of a violet wand, but have used a tens unit. Are the sensations similar?

The violet wand is one of my favorite toys.

I have several different sets, but rarely use the bulbs except to demonstrate how it works.

My favorite attachment is the body contact probe. When I hold it in my hand, I become the conduit for the electricity. Everything from my fingernails, tongue, toes, etc...... creates sparks when held close to another person. (Also anything I may be holding in my hand.....claws, knives, chains, mylar ribbond, whartenburg wheels, etc etc.... becomes electrified)

If the sub holds the contact probe then they become the conduit and they can be shocked by anyone (everyone) that comes within a millimeter or 2 of touching them. Waaayyy fun!

The feeling is a bit like static electricity. The size of the charge can be adjusted higher or lower by turning the knob on the wand. When using the body contact probe (and your body as the terminal) the charge is reciprocal...meaning both of you receive a shock. I prefer that as I know without a doubt, the intensity of the spark.

Some people (fair skinned) may have a sunburn reaction to the wand and at higher settings it can burn. The wand emits ozone when it is turned on ... and you can smell it while it is being used.

As Topcat said....it is one of those toys you either love or hate, so you may want to borrow one from someone else to see if you like it, before investing in one.

A TENS unit produces an electrical current that causes muscles to contract. It works beneath the surface of your skin and therefore care needs to be taken in placing the leads. (Never on the chest, head, etc)

A Violet Wand produces electrical voltage that creates sparks when it comes in contact with your electrical field. It never penetrates beyond the surface of your skin and so it can be used anywhere on your body execpt your eyes. (The wand most often pictured with the wand (comb)was actually manufactured to be used as a cure for baldness. LOL)

I do not play with TENS units, but I love my Violet Wands!

I did actually have some experience with a TENS unit years ago... I used it in preparation for labor and during labor. As I recall, it felt like a deep pain-tickle. Until heavy labor, when, unfortunately, the TENS felt like nothing at all.

They are also REALLY interesting when you are the conducter and you use one of the metal "tinsel" (think metallic ribbon pom-poms)

Each one of the "falls" (ribbons) will give a little spark'n'shock.

Necro thread alert.

It made me feel like I'd had a mild sunburn. Until the next day walking to work in the Florida heat. The itching and blistering started and by the end of my shift, I was blistered on my entire back, chest & upper thighs. It took a full week to recover. I loved the sensations at the time, but not the after effects. Of course, in less heat/humidity, it may be different.

The first night that I was in a scene, a violet wand was used on me. I'd never even been spanked before that night, and trusted my fellow kinksters (who are now, at least in my opinion, good friends of mine.) to guide me. First, I was spanked.
