WhiptheHip: If I could really find a Dominant who would actually admit to this, (being "just" 90% Dominant) then, yes. But then again - it might be hard to "measure" that according to any standard none would see as arbitrary. You've seen the results on this thread (or maybe that was your point. If so, kudos to you on your sense of humor)!  - Susan

I would say any male who falls into the 60-90% dominant range
is compatible with any female in the 60-90% submissive range
as far as dominance-submissive compatibility.  Of course, they
may not be compatible for a host of other reasons.  There is
always the odd chance that a sub like you might not find me
dominant enough, but I doubt that would be the case.  I think
I would be considered dominant enough for many subs who
need someone dominant 100% of time.   I think there is a
much, much greater chance of non-compatibility on a number
of other issues.   I don't think one's needs a perfect match
as far as dominance-submission goes.  A close match is
usually good enough.

Warm regards,
Michael

Whip, I guess I'd be in the 100% Dominant.
I have "bottomed" before but I'm not submissive at all.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 7:15:53 PM)

I'm 64% submissive, according to those stupid polls that circulate here.  Does that make me compatible with the 64% dominates?

benji

No benji, you would have to be 36% submit to match a 64% dominate... that way you make a whole.... anyone who knows about statistics knows this silly[sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif]

gooddogbenji -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 7:33:45 PM)

But submissive and dominate are opposite.  So 36%+(-)64%=-28%.  Making me, the submissive, less than human.

May I humbly beg permission to approach You, oh Great Mistress Julia?  I am not worthy of your spit!

Yours,

benji

rofl....that would make you 28% dominate, meaning that you are worthy of anyone's spit, because you have that dominate percentage. You can get a submit of your own, allowing that they are less dominate than you are... does this make sense?

gooddogbenji -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 7:45:39 PM)

But that's only when I'm together with a dominate already.  Combined, we are dominate, so we could take on another submissive, provided she is no more than 28% submissive.

Yours,

benji

PS:  Please use propper grammer , julia.Every one know's its submissive and dominate ,not submit and dominate.Submit is a verb.Sheesh!

Edited for tipo's

If your dominate was 64% dominate, and you are 28% dominate... the equation becomes this 64%+28%=92%. In order for the relationship to work, the submissive that will be the beta has to be >92% dominate for it to work correctly.. which means that the two of you could own just about any domme on this site! Good for you!

gooddogbenji -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 7:55:43 PM)

LaTigresse, you're mine now!

But wait, if we get her on board, we'll be at 92+92=184%, in other words, almost enough to adopt Crappy.

Yours,

benji

Im hoping that all the dominates on this site are running for cover so they do not get trapped in this statistical nightmare... did you know that it is possible that three or more submissives can combine their dominate power as to overwhelm dominates all over the world! Think of the possibilities!

gooddogbenji -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 8:11:48 PM)

Well, no, not really.  They do need a dominate to help them get started, but I'm sure we can find that first one to help.....

Yours,

benji

juliaoceania -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 8:26:12 PM)

Well then we might as well forget it, we know how cliquish dom/mes are..they are not going to play ball with lowly submissives like us

gooddogbenji -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/1/2006 8:29:23 PM)

Especially if you ask them to play with balls!  Or what was the question?

Nearly word-for-word, this comes straight from a textbook description of
someone with paranoid personality disorder.  I can't say anything about
Homestead since I have never met the man.

adj.
  1. Believing or showing the belief that people are motivated chiefly by base or selfish concerns; skeptical of the motives of others: a cynical dismissal of the politician's promise to reform the campaign finance system.
  2. Selfishly or callously calculating: showed a cynical disregard for the safety of his troops in his efforts to advance his reputation.
  3. Negative or pessimistic, as from world-weariness: a cynical view of the average voter's intelligence.
  4. Expressing jaded or scornful skepticism or negativity: cynical laughter.
I am not at all negative or pessimistic.  I find the good in almost any situation.  However, I do not take things at face value.  I look for the actions behind peoples words or the facts to a story.  That is why I consider myself cynical.  I am also skeptical as to others motivations in general.  This does not mean on an individual basis this is always the case.  Speaking in generalities though, is much different.  I am not unhappy.  I am very happy and content with my life.  I think everyone is at least worth knowing.  Everyone has someone something to teach us...good, bad or otherwise.  That doesn't mean I like everyone I meet.  But if you are open to it, there is always something to be learned.

SusanofO -> RE: Cynical assumptions. (9/2/2006 3:06:11 AM)

WhiptheHip: I just got round to reading this thread again, and appreciate your comments on this page. It's comforting to know. I am not sure if it's being part submissive I want, or if I just want to know a Dominant can have a "softer side" once in a while, and "let go" of any rigidity in their personality every so often (if it's there, which I think I've seen it is, in some Doms).
Anyway, I am talking to myself again...[:D]

"You're misreading that."

Don't get me wrong, it's a good idea.  I just wish I was in on the joke.

Damn, benji, but you do nail it every time with very few words.

I pegged "WhipTheHip" as a troll when he first started posting.  Nothing he has done or said since has changed my mind.

Watching the train wrecks he causes is sometimes interesting, but more often simply tiring.
