devilishy -> How do you go about meeting dommes and people in the lifestyle in the Bay Area? (1/3/2005 3:27:42 PM)

How do you go meet dommes and others in the Bay Area without being thrown in at the deep end! Like turning up at a big scale fetish club/ munch etc.
I'd know people would prefer to meet people in smaller groups rather then big one's(cuz yes we are newbies)So go easy.....,or go hard[:@]!
Any websites would be most helpful!!
I'd rather chat to someone on a one to one basis basically because
1- So that they can see I'm not some Horny Net Geek who cuts and Pastes messages
or some sleazy perv!
2-to see who they are and what they are about
3-if theres no connection between the two, theres no time spent on endless e-mails and coffes etc and a big let down at the end (for people can be articulate and poetic on computer but can turnout to be a real asshole)
4 Socializing is better than typing
Anyway thanks for your time

A munch is about as far from the deep end as you can get. It's just people hanging out and having something to eat and drink. If you don't like it, you get up and leave.

When I was in SF, I used to go to the Palo Alto munch fairly regularly and met a bunch of decent people. Screw up the courage and just go.

Check out the munches on this site.

Then e-mail the host and tell them you want to come and are new. They will keep an eye out for you and introduce you to people.
You should be fine.

The Society of Janus website has a Calendar of events and workshops. There is bound to be something there ?
