Endorphins can be 'addictive' like many other chemicals. The thing to note is that there is a difference between chemical dependency and addiction. Addiction tends to be drug or chemical seeking behavior for the purpose of modifying mood. If you are accustomed to regular increases in your endorphin production and then suddenly no longer have that chemical reaction happening in your life then it is quite possible you will suffer some form of 'withdrawal' even if it's psychological in nature. There is good news, however. Endorphins are manufactured in the body and there are MANY ways to produce endorphins other than just being flogged or played with. Some people can achieve a similar state through meditation, still others experience it from running or other extreme work outs, someone else may experience it from getting a good massage. Find out what stimulates endorphin production for you other than those things that require someone else 'do' you. Alternately, if you decide you don't wish to know yourself that well or just don't care about doing the work to find out, you could see a professional dom/me. You wouldn't be the first to do it and in spite of what many with little to no experience would tell you there is no shame in it. You get to decide what gets you what you want and need. Ain't that great?!?
