This is somewhat related to the Diabetes thread.

I mentioned the book, and it is now in my possesion and I have read over half of it.

This book doesn't exactly deal with diabetes. What this guy says is that people have different requirements for their diet, and he bases it on blood type. I can't go long with this without some collaborative evidence. His theories sound plausible, but like I have said, don't believe everything you read.

The author, Dr. James D'Adamo is a naturalopathic healer, rather than an allopathic doctor, which is how naturopathics refer to regular doctors. Naturopathis healers say that they try to treat the cause of the symptoms while alopathics treat symptoms. I believe I agree with this. When you give high powered pain killers to arthritis patients, hell they would be better off with some good chicken soup.

I don't particularly like the guys diet recommendations, and NOT because he say to quit smoking and drinking, I think he doesn't realise just how played out the soil is now. Of course the core theories are still as valid as at any time, but how valid were they ? That is my question.

He basically had it figured out by blood types, type A, OK be vegetarian, but that is no good for a type O. Type B and AB run somewhere in between.

Can we get data on blood type by race ? What I'm saying is if we can it may prove some of this guy's theory. If we can't, or if we get yields a uniform distribution of blood types it might blow his theories out the water. Might. Let the chips fall.

Has anyone ever even thought of bringing it up ?. Race is so touchy now it is politically incorrect to save a life by intervening and helping a person to avoid diseases he is more prone to due to race. Let's discard the bullshit.

If you know your blood type, could you describe a few things about yourself please ?

Race, health, diet.

Remember I am sure this guy thinks he is right, but is he ? That is what I would like to discover.
