i LOVE breathplay and asphyxia of all sorts.

HOM, U/W breathplay, gas mask breath control, choking, smothering/face sitting, wrestling choke holds.

something so erotic about controlling someone's breath is the ultimate trust and control.

few fetish practices leave the life of the bottom so squarely in the hands of the top and their mercy like breathplay does.

sometimes i give breathplay demos on safe (as safe as can be humanly done) breathplay practices.

sadly, i also know one well known person that died recently from solo breathplay, so it is still a sobering thought.

greetings

why would you want to do something so dangerous life is dangerous enough let me walk you through some of the worst parts of some city oh yes your breath will play all right but this is not to make fun of you it is to show you lord this is crazy you could die just for a come ? it is really that fun and desrieable? i would do manythings someone of my slaves would ask not scat but other things their safety is most important to me no life is worht losing for any type of breath play and if you do and i want you to remember this if you do find a domme to do this she does and will not care for you. i hope you find anther way to feel that high you want no drug lol

i believe this question wasn't directly sheveled at me per se. yet here goes.

there is perceived danger. and actual danger.

reality is, we deem it dangerous to fly people have TOTAL fears of air travel which i find amusing considering more die each day in auto crashes than air crashes.

yet a majority are afraid of perishing in an aircraft crash.

that's not a typical rational fear.

we think it's dangerous to do this or that. when in reality, the sheer vast majority of what we engage in EACH day is actually more dangerous than most of the things edge players do.

we feel a tad trepid to fly. because it's unfamiliar and planes are something we don't do EACH day. i surmise it's a bit of the 'fear of the unknown' or unfamiliar syndrome that strikes us.

yet i bet tomorrow you'll hop in your car and drive to work tomorrow. (i'm only assuming here, you may be a mass transit sorta person or a bike riding sorta person)..

still, for the mass majority of us.. we hop in a car each day yet we have a better chance of dying in a car crash than an plane crash.

same with breathplay.

perceived danger vs ACTUAL danger is totally different.

there are ways to mitigate edgeplay dangers.

only people that do not engage in it... haven't a clue.

i'm not saying someone should *hang* their partner. or use ligatures (which can be done with *marginal* safety as long as the Top knows which major arteries to avoid).. i'm not saying someone also take asphyxia to the point of passing out.

THAT's when things get dangerous. and it's also why total trust and total knowledge of the human body, some medical or nursing background is requisite as well as the health of your bottom is ultimate.

you need to know CPR if you are engaging in breathplay.. and i mean full on CERTIFIED knowledge. you need to know the health of your bottom- do they have asthma, are they claustrophobic, do you have alternate ways of judging urgency.

if you get in your car tomorrow and drive wherever.

you're putting yourself at a MUCH larger risk than the average breathplayer or edge player does.

Sassy,

You might want to pick up latex sheeting....they make it in a rolled bandage-type variety. You can effectively use that over their face when behind them in a really wild kidnapping/choking scene by simply pulling it around their nose and mouth.

I have a rule when doing breathplay that they absolutely must struggle when they need to breathe. But, as a safeguard, I've already tested out their respiratory times (inspiratory, sigh time, holding their breath willingly) and don't keep them blocked for longer than either their time to hold or my own time holding my breath.

I'm betting that you didn't bother to look at the rest of the posts where we've all been chiming in about enjoying this sort of play. Therefore, you're hurling stones at the rest of us with your post. We're all talking about safety and mindfulness when it comes to this sort of play. When you're living in a glass house yourself (in BDSM culture), it's usually a smart thing not to be the one hurling rocks at someone else's home simply because you don't like or agree with their kink.
