Status: offline 		Greetings all, I was wondering if there was anyone here who has experiance with the use of these and electric play. I would like to be more familiare with the usage of the wand before investing the money. I am interested in hearing about personal experiances good, bad, or ugly.  The feeling of being shocked when playing with electicity adds a certian thrill to my twisted being. lol.... seriously tho anyone with experiance with either of these two, i would love to hear what you have to say.                                        Thanks, MBear

Status: offline 		i adore the wand. It can be mild to wild and is totally fun. The last scene i had He had found some fabric with metalic thread in it. He draped it over my body and took great joy in contacting the fabric. i twitched, squirmd and wiggled for what seemed like hours. It wasn't a real intense scene as scenes go but gosh was i warn out afterwards

I loved it. My firend Mike and I were fucking around with a violet wand at a play party where one of us was holding a contact that attaches to the violet wand (you become part of the circuit) and we went about trying to shock each other.

Some rules of thumb, if you are playing mortal kombat, do not use any knives (they deliver one helluva shock when used with the violet wand, which is nice, if you are motionless and not trying to shock them back with a chain flogger). We ended up getting about an inch too close to each other, and my hand is scarred because of it.

Note on the chain flogger, the handle also needs to be conductive if you are part of the circuit, naturally. However impact play will do nothing to help electrocute your target. Just brush it against the skin, and boy do each of those metal balls deliver shocks!

Violet wand play is really cool with the lights off. The sparks jumping is very mesmurizing to watch. Touching the bulb to skin does nothing. Hold it slightly away from skin. There are sometimes light bulb attachments that will light up when someone is shocked. Heck, once I was stepping on one's handle and as Mike came around with the knife the light lit up from my feet!

Unless you like sharp burning shocks, do not wear D ringed bondage pants. I know they look cool and everything, but man is the shock severe when the person grabs at your rings and chains. Clothes amplifies the shock, distributing between the fabric spaces and all over your skin. This is especially true about cloth over the nipple area.  

Don't make animal growls and yips. That will only make the other sadists in the room interested and encourage more of your torture because they like the sounds you make :P (But hey, this isn't always a bad thing)

Apparently there is a technique called "Violet wand branding" I have heard of that uses the wand to mark a pattern in the skin through the shocks. The effects supposedly last about six weeks, and the process is supposed to be extremely painful. (I want to try it *raises hand*) Although I dont have any experience with that.

Violet wands are hands down a helluva lot of fun. Good luck. Beware of your pets. If you are part of a violet wand circuit, you can shock them too, even accidently if they brush against you.. Take care, and remember the knives thing.

Yes, I have always had a fascination for electricity, which is probably why I took to it so well. I was never really afriad of the thing (although yes, we were playing with it on high). So it is not always a mindfuck device, depending on who you are with.

Status: offline 		Violet wands are fun toys. The sensation ranges from a tickle to a bit bitey...but nothing really over the top. It really depends on the submissive...I know some who think it is just annoying.  The visual is awesome....especially if you combine violet wands with fireplay.

Status: offline 		The violet wand makes some pretty colors and some pleasant to "oh shit" sensations.  It is a pretty expensive toy, but nothing else really provides the same sensations with so little risk. 
A suggestion for you might be that when shopping for the wand buy a kit with all the attachments instead of looking for attachments after the purchase.  Usually you get a price break with the kits.  I got 10 or 11 attachments with mine and added one insertable attachment later.  Probably wasted my money on the additional purchase.  An additional suggestion would be to avoid the old Quack wands and buy one that is recent vintage.  The Quack wands can sometimes be found for what appears to be a good price, but the issues you will run into will probably send you back out shopping for one of the new ones.  Finally, when using the wand use low power to learn before moving up.  The different power settings cause different things with different attachments.  I thought it was pretty cool to use the Wartenberg Wheel until I later noticed "train tracks" all over my partner.  Hell we could have ridden her body from Florida to Canada on those tracks and that was not on a high power setting.

Status: offline 		I have only once had a violet wand used on me, and only after seeing it used on other people several times.. I still didn't want it used on me.. but I thought hey what the heck.. I'm sure it wont hurt as much as it looks like it will.
I almost peed myself laughing so hard. I'm ticklish normally but this was almost like being tickled everywhere. Needless to say, not quite the effect the Dominant was looking for.

Once during that play I did have a very big OUCH moment when the Dominant held  the VW at a funny angle and insted of the shock running through the attachment and then getting me.. it jumped straight from the unit and shocked me.. a very..very big difference in feeling lol

Status: offline 		What an interesting device.  When I have seen it used in some of the clips, I thought of the totally incased coils that show lightening discharge from the center to the leading edge which did not allow discharge out and through the person touching it.  The ultraviolet wand allows electric discharge through a sub?  What restrictions, safeguards are on the device?  When training for the application of needles to people, phlebotomy, I was given instruction that static electricity could kill if sufficient amperage were applied.  The instructions were that discharge ouside of the skin was annoying but harmless where as discharge through the needle of the same amperage could lead to damage.  Thanks for the information about the wand.

Status: offline 		I've used it, not had it used on me.. the one thing I would say is watch how fine of a point you use if its turned up high. I saw it used once with a knife point being used to conduct and it actually burned the submissive. Of course they were so far into subspace they didnt notice till later, but if you are trying to avoid marks, you just want to watch out for that. Then again, its a great way to sign your name across their ass!

eeee gads....how does one describe a sensation????

Ok...well here goes....

If you just bring the wand in touch with the needles quickly you get these little bitey, pinchy "pops"....but if you make extended contact it is more of a vibrating sting....kind of like if you can imagine what a very thin drill bit would feel like boring in....almost like there is a kind of "pressure" to it

A Tens unit is used by physical therapists and can be hazardous even in their
very capable hands. I was married to a PT for 10 years and had many treatments.
For some reason she forgot what she was doing and turned the power ad justment
the wrong way during a treatment. That sucker hurt. So be very careful with these
medical devices. Tens units are NOT "toys" and one should be aware that they can deliver
a very serious shock. Stay focused.
