Status: offline 		well this thread can be turned anyway you choose to turn it... (it's not an emotional one for me... it's educational)... i didn't intend to specify strictly in a Master/slave (only 2 involved) scenerio... what i am trying (although poorly, apparently) is that regardless of who you are.... you DO have limits and the blanket statement 'i am a no-limit slave' (assuming that said slave of course is not bound, chained and gagged 24/7)... does not (imo at this moment), exist.

Saying that one has no limits is an absurd generalization, intended to puff up an ego.  When I see it, I scoff. It simply means that somoene is expressing an emotive content ,tied to compliance of a Top's wishes.

I prefer those who can express themselves without such a degree of slip-shod laziness.

i don't believe anyone has "no limits" they maybe sincerely believe they do, but somewhere down the line they will perhaps be faced with a situation where they find their "limit" Somehow this idea of "no limits" seems to be a romanticized ideal that many buy into thinking that if they adhere to this policy it will somehow make being a "slave" more concrete or real to them. 

Two consenting adults can basically do what they want and it's by and large not anyone elses business.  When things begin to enter the "illegal" realm i would say there is a problem.  i personally would intervene is a slave tried to take her own life because her Master told her to - as i also stated in another thread.  Certain lines must be drawn - i think death is one.  i am all for staying out of peoples personal business and to each their own, but in all good consciousness i could not stand by while someone died in the name of obeying their Master. Im my opinion, he ceases to be a "Master" at that point and becomes a psychopath. If that makes me unpopular so be it. i am the one who in the morning has to wake up and look at myself in the mirror and like who i see.

Status: offline 		i agree velvet... however, having said that... i believe (and it's just me)... that there are much worse things than death... (in some instances i can see where it might be the cowardly way out).....although i truly do understand where you are coming from and agree...

Yes, depending on the circumstances. If she's agreed to this via coercion, or if she's not mentally stable when she aggrees. If she aggrees as a result of past abuse, missunderstadning, etc. If she agrees without giving informed consent, we're, in my book, obligated to overried.

If she consents with full controll of mind and body and knowing what she's saying, then it's her right as long as  that agreement doesn't hurt anyone else.

No matter the context of the term, I think it is a somewhat strange idea to attempt distilling "abuse" from "slavery." Those who see the validity of that argument, in my opinion, should not be seeking slavery or identifying with it.
