Yes, imagination is the best thing one can have in the design of a dungeon, playspace, or studio whatever one wishes to call their special place. I am lucky I happen to have 5 themed rooms at My playspace, Gothic, Oriental, Leopard animal room, Baby room and a classroom but, whatever the mind can conceive the mind can achieve in designing your own special space.

You're aware that bacteria can live in the furrows of wood, right?  (That's why you're not supposed to use a wooden cutting board.)

If cost was not a factor what equipment / furniture/ accessories, etc. would one need to make a home dungeon / play room.?  Has someone ever posted a design or a "shoping list"?
My choice of furniture is realy quite simple. A cross, a basic horse and a bondage bed. Those are the basics I would suggest to anyone.

Wouldn't properly sealing the wood prevent this? I don't and wouldn't use any wooden furniture that isn't sealed with at least three layers of sealant.

Well, that study is more than ten years old, and more recent findings seem to confirm that bacteria do indeed survive in wood:

Still seems up for debate, however.

Anyway, I'm not sure how eager I'd be to hoist a slave right onto a wooden horse that I know had recently been used by someone else.

You do understand that it is only natural for a supplier to promote the material it supplies.And just because the supplier says it's better doesn't mean that it is.

Well, in fairness, her link was referring to a real study.  I don't think they were simply lying through their teeth.  But it's an old study.

I have a 16 foot camper, outfitted as a rolling dungeon to take places, which has suspension points in the top four corners, and a "storage" compartment for bound and gagged slave transport.  And I take gear from my main dungeon when I go on the road.   I have a 400 Sq ft finished basement, here are the things I have so far:

1) Dog Cage
2) Anchor Wall (eyebolts into 2X10s anchored to the wall)
3) "Gear Wall" pegs from which hang my: floggers, slappers, spankers (bath brush, shoe horn, cutting board), quirt, belts, ropes (10 different sizes and colors) nipple clips, clothespins, strap on harnesses, slave vests, restraints, etc. etc. etc. and "Gear Shelves" with plastic bins for the following: knives, fire play supplies, dildos, vibrators, butt plugs, inflatables, lubricants, condoms, lotions, cross dresser supplies (make up, wigs, etc.)
4) Flogging Bench
5) Baby pool for water sports
6) King Size Bed with tethers for tying down easily
7) Closet with cross dressing costumes and clothes

Things on my "to make and/or acquire" list:

1) Humbler device
2) St. Andrews Cross
3) Gates of Hell
4) Jail Cell in my cage room

Nice start up equipment, demistress.  I think the wide range of toys we select is quite interesting. In my case, I am the most recent (hopefully also the last) in a series of subbies to come into Master's life, and He has a monster collection of toys, including some vicious floggers, whips, and heavy chains. So far I've managed to avoid the fire games and knives.

Oh!  Concerning the "cleanliness" of the pony, or at least the "saddle board", it's been treated with many coats of some sort of varnish to the point of being very slick and smooth. LOL easy to wipe the blood and juices off. We do keep the dungeon clean. After all, prolonged incarceration does lead to certain physical distress, i.e., you're going to spew sooner or later.[;)][sm=crop.gif]

What makes a good dungeon is what ever you think you need or desire in it. You can go the expensive route and buy all your equipment. My personal choice is if I need something I can buy it, I do enjoy creating equipment out of the stuff I have lying around. Makes the creative juices flow

My ideal dungeon would have:

School equipment (blackboard, flag, school desk, ruler, teacher's desk)
Interrogation equipment/interrogation cell
Feminization area with a wardrobe equipped with clothing and shoes and a dressing table equipped with drawers filled with hosiery and makeup
Spanking bench with variable height arm and knee rests
A set of stocks
Massage bench
Medical exam table with stirrups, speculums, and authentic cold KY jelly
A sex sling
A suspended platform
A whipping post
A cage, with other animal training gear including electro shock collar, leash, newspaper, toys, bowl with water, bowl for food
Lots of latex gloves, and latex free gloves
A throne for me to sit on and have my feet worshipped from, or be groveled at
Brooms, dusters, vaccuum, swiffer for the sissy maids, along with Murphy's Oil and washrags
A coffin style cage with optional mesh windows in the sides, I can take out sliding partitions and leave a sub in the coffin and the sub can see the dungeon, or put them in so the sub can't see out.
A CBT bench
And lots of storage for all my toys.

I am planning on turning my 2 car garage into a Dungeon.

Items to start:

Double St. Andrew's Cross (already ordered)
Spanking Bench
Suspension Bar from the ceiling
Bondage/multi purpose table
loveseat and chairs
garbage can
first aid kit
fans to blow the ac in from my house
large ice chests for drinks and snacks

that will be the start of it then I will take it from there.

While We dont have any official furniture, I did make a rack/platform bed combo. We have taken a room in the basement and converted it for Our play.

I have mostly focused on proper attachments for restraining the girls, ceiling hooks, wall hooks, restraints at different locations on the bed. Also have made use of Home Depot and Lowes in taking and perverting many innocent items....lol.

I have plans for a few pieces of furniture I want to build, as Our budget is tight, and I'm handy enough, so it allows Us much more than if We had to purchase all the items.

Wish list is ....A Cross, A Pony, I want to build a type of convertable table/bench combo, for multiple tasks. Mostly anything that allows for easy access to vital parts, while allowing proper positions for spankings, floggings etc...

We have very large dog crates if one desires, but Mine isnt interested in being caged.

Cattle fence panels make good cages and work wonders just attached to a wall.
