I generally only catagorize people into two delineations:

1. Idiot
2. Non-idiot

Hehe, I use those phrases way too much as well. Now if you were me, that would warrant a punishment. Good thing you're not.

Ooo! Ooo! Can I jump on the anti-true bandwagon too? Hell, I'll even get out and pull the damn thing!

True in the sense of how it is used on here is to show that this is real or better than others. Its suppose to try to get others attentions to look at this or that because this is the "truth" and no ones elses are. Which in a sense is untrue because there maybe points brought up in others posts that are still true. But the reason they use True is just to make their posts seem better because it has the word true in it. Kind of a marketing tool if you will.

The term "true" as used in this particular context, seems to be a way for some people to express that they are more pure in their dominance or their submission than the rest of the peasants that have BDSM relationships.

Perhaps a new phrase should be coined...

Instead of "True" Dominant, we can say, "Dominant with an over developed sense of self worth."

Instead of a "True"..(Or in some cases, "twue") submissive, we can say, "Submissive with an overdeveloped sense of selflessness as long as he/she still gets whatever he or she wants."

How come you never hear about "True" switches?
(In case it wasn't evident in the post...I hate the term "true" as a prefix to someone's place in the power exchange.)

Over the past few days I've noticed more and more thread's with people using the word "true."

I have to wonder what exactly that means? Are their untrue people as opposed to true people?

Or are true people supposed to be more real than untrue people?

happypervert -> RE: The word "True" (1/8/2005 11:51:01 PM)

Whenever I hear someone refer to a true dominant or submissive, I figure they are referring to some idealized stereotype in their head. However, I think anyone conforming to any stereotype is probably boring; therefore the folks to whom a "true" stereotype is an ideal are likely boring as well so any reference to "true" causes a Pavlovian response where my eyes start to glaze over.

tWue ! teh tWue D0m !

Being "true" is a lot different than just being here to get laid.
Saddly many seemt o just wnat to get laid and not put forth any effort as a Dominant in other aspects of lifes and relationships.....ergoe the {Bedroom Dom}.
