How many of you, having found yourself in this lifestyle and maybe being quite adept with the written word find that you  would like to write BDSM stories to be published?

*laughs*

I'd say having four collections of my short stories and a novel on the way qualifies doesn't it?

That said, you don't make a lot of money at this, not even the really "big names". Write mainstream or lots of romance novels if you want money.

I've written erotica and done erotic photos. And in the end, I suffered from my effort. America is a sexually immature country. As if we didnt know.

I already write Romantica.  Believe me ... I liberally sprinkle much of BDSM in my books.  When my publisher went out of business, I have found myself searching for another one.  I'll end up with a Literary Agent, I can feel it.  One of you wonderful people has volunteered to read and review my books and to them I say ... thank you.  I have them on CD for the move, I should have them downloaded this weekend.

So ... the short answer ... YES *lol*

I enjoy writing immensely and found that passion grew tremendously when I returned to the lifestyle. I have a couple of book projects in mind but I am uncertain if they will be BDSM oriented. The time and effort that go into making this a reality would necessitate a profitable venture.

I have been a freelance writer and supported myself through it, either totally or partially, for most of my adult life. (I'm 147 years old.) Last year, I returned to it full-time. I have written, posted, and occasionally published BDSM short fiction fairly frequently.

I'm even sucking others into this dissolute and degenerate occupation, having recently perverted Littlepita into collaborating with me in writing a novel. The first chapter of it is posted on Literotica, http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=270262. As you can see I'm perfectly willing to grovel for readers ....

Mods: if the above link is inappropriate, please delete it.

Readers: if you would like the link and it has been removed, please email me on the other side. You will receive a $10 gift certificate good for a weekend beneath the counter of the Dairy Queen in Fitchburg, MA.

Thanks, JW

I write regularly, however I have no goals to publish any of it.  What I write, I send to my  Master to keep, toss, share, or do with as he wishes.

Unfortunately that is so true and sad at the same time!

Thanks for the input.  Love knowing there are a few here who actually are excited about writing even if it's not about BDSM topics.

I have one non BDSM published text book and many articles. I, also, have a novel that I can't sell. The thing is that anyone can be published by a rinky dink, bascially, self-publisher, but the gold standard is for a major publisher to sign you. Any other way of seeing yourself in print is self deception except in rare cases.

Now, things like that make me wonder. What does beneath the counter mean? LOL. Something for subs and not Doms, I bet :).

I love to write and was often encouraged by others to share those writings.  Trying to find someone to publish writings that had short stories and poetry/prose was not such an easy task.  I finally self-published and sold most of the books online.  The fun part for me was the emails and comments I received from those who purchased the books and my CDs.  Recovering the cost was nice, but when the first book sold, I had accomplished my goal and the rest was gravy.  For me, a vital part of completing my project was encouragement from someone who wrote one of the most widely read lifestyle books.  She read an essay I wrote and placed it on her website.  The simple fact that she added me to a place that was special to her gave me the impetus to publish.
In a world where finding acceptance from publishers is difficult, we should encourage anyone with something to say to go ahead and say it.
