I am sitting here eating a California peach marveling at the flavor and texture of it and thinking about how much I love late summer and the bounty of the different fruits that are at their peak right now. I love them all, but I think peaches are my favorite... what is yours?

Ok, I will take those too and add blackberries (Im on a diet so I think I am having this as a healthy outlet instead of fantasizing Ben and Jerry's)

Grapes and plumbs.
When I lived in New Hampshire there were a dozen high bush blueberry bushes out back that the previous owner had put in years earlier.
They were about 8 feet tall and we'd get blueberrys as big around as your thumb!
We'd usually get 60-80 lbs of blueberrys off of them and freeze them for use in the winter for blueberry pancakes and muffins.

My grandma had oodles of blackberry bushes around her house and we would pick them and eat as many as we took home for her to make pies and for her jams.... YUMMY

Watermelon. When I was pregnant I would eat an entire watermelon in a day. Needless to say I spent alot of time in the ladies room. My Father would go to the Farmers Market and buy two of them at a time and put them into the refridgerator so by the time I got home from work it was nice and cold. YUM

i am a fruit lover! i've recently tried the mango and even though sometimes it taste abit different i love it, now only if cutting it were simple. i also like peaches as one of my all time favs.

I love almost all kinds of fruit.
Although I must say that my fondness for apples has waned a bit lately........4 apple trees having a bumpercrop year. I am soooo sick of canning and freezing apples.
Early last month it was peaches.
Before that red raspberries.
I know that I will be enjoying them all winter now, just tired of the work involved.
I also adore kiwi, strawberries, pomegranates, pineapple.......omg I just love it all!

I love peaches too! Peach Cobbler!
Funny thing though since I've lived in S. Carolina here I found out that they grow more peaches in S. Carolina than they do in Georgia yet they call Georgia the "Peach State."

Peaches are My favorite too, but I also love nectarines, plums, and berries.

Earliest summer: mangoes
Early to mid summer: berries from the fields above Daddy's house (they just grow!)
Late summer: peaches

Oooooh I love fruit!!! Watermelon, peaches, pears, apples, oranges, cantalope, kiwi, cherries, grapes, nectarines, plums, berries of all kinds especially strawberries, and the list goes on. Bananas are the only fruit I hate. Just can't handle them.

my favorite summer ones..

grapes (frozen too..yum!~)
mango..so sweet and juicy
watermelon..so juicy, just quenches your thirst
korean pears..different from american..much juicier and grainier..soo yummy..<drool>

and so much more *^_^*

Fresh pineapple in a 'coctel de gambas' (prawn cocktail) - ive lived on them the past two weeks.

bananas (love 'em! -- especially in pudding [:D])
apples (the non- red delicious varieties)
strawberries (although it's a little late for them now)
canteloupe
but the best is watermelon -- yum!
