Here's one I thought of  on the way home.  I'm not sure that I would really like a sub driving me unless I were very tired and/or they were driving their car.  I even like being in charge of my car and my destiny in it.  So,  I was wondering how many other Dominants out there like to be in control of the wheel even when accompanied by their sub?  How many subs wish their Dom/mes would let them drive the around more often and feel deprived of honoring their Master/Mistress in this way?

I don't know about feeling deprived of an honor...I just know that I drive as well as anyone else.

I hate driving.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the fact that I got my driver's lisence as soon as possible because my mother needed constant drives to and from her many, many doctors while my father worked.

Then we moved to NYC and we didn't bother with a car. We waited two years before getting a car after we came to where we are now and I did drive -- hated it and was afraid of it to some degree but I did it.

Then my surgery and meds happened and for two years the meds made me just slightly dizzy, too dizzy to safely drive.

Now I drive again with better meds. I don't need a car for my school work or teaching, we live two blocks from the bus or Tom or Fox can pick me up since they go across campus to get to their jobs. But I drive every weekend to get groceries cause I'm the early bird in the house.

Fox drives me a lot though. I have zero problem saying "Fox drive me here" and letting him do what he has to do. In fact, I prefer to have someone else drive so one of my requirements for a future slave is that he/she has a car and is happy to be my chauffeur.

Being driven is one form of service that I enjoy, whether it's going out for the evening, or being driven to errands.  For me it feels like pampering and care, rather than a loss of control.

I'm completely happy to have anyone but me as the driver, unless it's my car.  I drive well, but I really don't like doing it.

Usually Master does the driving, unless he is too tired then I will. 

An interesting driving comment I was told once I drove like a Domme.  Knowing that the individual was from a small town who came to visit me in the rather large 2.5 million people city.  I have been driving a number of years 30 to be exact and all of them in the city.
I just laughed.

When my Master hands the wheel and the keys over to me, it's usually because He's too tired to drive. He views it as just another way in which i serve Him. Sometimes He decides that i'll drive simply because i''ve already been to where ever it is we are going, and know the route.
It's an example of how owning me makes His life a bit easier.
Just because i am driving doesn't mean He's not the one in control. Many times He tells me which route to take. More often than not He gets to choose the radio station. He often reaches over and adjusts the windshield wiper speed because He dislikes that i forget to turn them off after it stops raining, sometimes ..... He hates the screeching noise they make as they drag over the dried glass.
i enjoy serving Him in any way that i can. Although, there was one time that i jokingly teased Him by telling Him that He may wish to adjust His seat and push it back further ...... WAY BACK. ... because then He could better fill the role of a backseat driver.
He pinches very hard. Now i just shut up, drive and enjoy the ride. [;)]

i don't care who drives. i enjoy driving Him. i also enjoy it when He drives. Either is fine with either of us.

Dear Contesaluv, Ladies and Gentlemen;
 
I prefer to drive my own car.  I know it well and, unless the lad/lass in service to me has taken defensive driving courses, to which some lads have when in the military in Embassy duties driving ambassadors and or US Secret Service agents, police officers and or fire fighters, etc.
 
If it is their vehicle, I let them drive.
 
What I do like though, is to have the lad rent a Lincoln or Cadillac and have them drive, while I sit in the back and have them work their chauffering etiquette to the hilt.  It is even better, when I have another lady with me, as to enjoy the experience.  Of course the need to have such a big luxury car is, I need the trunk space for all my toy bags and goodies.

I hate driving because I am dreadful at it, but like having my own vehicle.  Sort of an escape clause. The two don't always work together though.

It's going to depend on the dynamic for me, actually. If I'm feeling female energy in the relationship, I prefer to be driven. If I'm feeling male, I prefer to drive. Although, sometimes, it's just easier for the person who really knows where they're going to drive, too.

I have opening car doors for me as one of my protocols...be the slave male or female. I have found that if I'm driving, I have a much harder time remembering my own damn protocol. I actually comment on this in the manual, saying that it will be a point of humor, most likely.

And to add: I don't drink alcohol, so I'm always the DD and whoever is with me can enjoy drinks as they please without concern.  I like being able to provide that service.

I drive because my Honda is only 2 months old and his car is a POS. He isn't a bad driver its just its MY truck and well its mine[:)] Anyway he likes to play with the 6 disc CD player more then drive.

Uhhhhhhhhh i dun drive with him.  Like i have and i find it a VERY uncomfie experience.  Cos i'm not like driving, i'm just moving the car as he wishes it and in traffic and what not.. well it can get abit difficult.  goes like this "get in this lane"  "which lane"  "this lane"  "ok"  "not NOW"  "pay attention" 

"slow down"  "get in front of that car"  Its like having to be aware of ALL my surroundings at all times AND what he wants me to do next.  Cos if he issues a command and another car screws it up, i gots to know.. and yet.. if i dont act soon enough.  ::sigh:: i just find it stressful.  Bit difficult to pay attention to everything at once.


Plus i think he prefers to drive.  Which is good, its less stressful on both of us.  I swear he thinks imma kill us.

I don't like to drive.  I will do it when I feel like it but I much prefer to tinker and work the radio.

This is not an issue for me because I don't know how to drive nor do I possess a license. Over the years I have come to enjoy the leisure and relaxation that being on the passenger side does provide. It is doubtful that my utopia will continue. However, the honor or privilege to drive will always be the other occupants. I will do so only when required.

Unless there is a medical reason he can't, Himself is the driver in the family. I don't feel deprived in any way for not being able to drive or anything else he won't allow me to do for him, whether it's to get him a cup of coffee, fix him something special for dinner or what have you. I serve him as he allows, not as I desire.. and that was tough for me for a long time.

Side note: It just dawned on me, but we rarely turn on the radio when we're in the car, even on long road trips. The only times I recall it going on is if the traffic is unduly heavy and we're going for a traffic report otherwise, we're just talking. IF we turned on the radio, he would be the one to decide what station would be playing.

I drive. I don't like being in the passenger seat alot and try to advoid it at all costs. (Could be the reason I get lost in the Dallas/Fort Worth area all the time.=P)

I prefer not to drive..I have been told too many times that I am a lousy driver and rather than put up with the constant criticism,,I turn over keys and sit back and watch the passing scenery or read a book , I need all these distractions because I too would be criticising and telling the driver how to drive !..lol..much more enjoyable than biting your lip...Tempting
