This link is interesting. http://www.restraining-order.com/
In their wedding album section, they have their collaring ceremony, and then procede to having their actually marriage ceremony. WITH the slave on her knees.

Now, i think this is nifty. really. but i no where NEAR have the courage to openly...ummm...flaunt?...my submission in so public a display.

What do y'all think?

Whatever works for you.

Personally I can't imagine having a ceremony that meant so much to my life that I wouldn't share it with all of my loved ones and want them to be a part of it and celebrate it together.

I have posted something similar in the past.  I love the idea of incorporating subtle hints of a D/s relationship into a vanilla wedding... where only a select few (or maybe just the bride and groom) would be aware of the intentions behind them.

I also, have envisioned a second ceremony... maybe in the evening following an afternoon vanilla wedding, or maybe the night before or after it.  The second ceremony would be a more private for those few who are aware of my lifestyle... him, on his knees before me, as we exchange vows which set the tone of the relationship.  There is something romantic about a collaring ceremony on a wedding day, where it is made clear that he will be owned and loved for all eternity.... sigh

i like the idea of *hints*
i always figured i would say "obey" in my vows, although i would the first woman in three generations of my family to say it.

what other kinds of hints could you put in?

jamesthehumanrug -> RE: Collaring and Wedding Ceremony (9/7/2006 3:04:31 AM)

i know this is  out of place; but theres a natural aversion i have to seeing females on their knees!!!!!!! and in second place;(ISNT IT BAD ENUFF ALL OVER THE WORLD ?!,W/OUT PERPETUATING IT?!)) and accepting it ;but; then a AGAIN; i know females have the RITE; to declare sexual-preferences and ;so i can't object ;
understand?
but ,normally, for me; im, just ,not interested is seeing THAT;IM NOT EVEN INTERESTED IN SEEING WOMAN FIGHT OR IN WRESTLING EACH OTHER;
THAT IS, JUST FOR ME ;PERSONALLY SPEAKING; (MY LIMIT) ;STUPID; AND OBJECTIONALBE AT FIRST AS IT MAY SEEM;
ITS BEST TO HAVE NO OPINION,TO LET OTHERS BE THEMSELVES WITHOUT HIDING but it goes to the point of disgusting me ;ie: seeing women or a woman on her knees

LadyWhisper -> RE: Collaring and Wedding Ceremony (9/7/2006 8:45:33 AM)

I fully agree with such, having both ceremonies together. But as I look at Collaring, to me it is a lifetime commitment, myself look as such as a wedding, so I totally agree with this. I am not ashamed of who I am, not saying being secretive is anything to be ashamed of, I am speaking of just me, if no one wants to accept my lifestyle, then I really do not have time to bother with them, for they will never really understand me, or even know me to the fullest.

this slave thinks that slave catherine isn't "flaunting", she is merely representing her position in life---at the feet of and in service to her Master, in all things.  she and her Master have committed to representing themselves to the public as "Master and Slave" as well as husband and wife, for quite some time, so no hints are necessary.  it would have suprised this slave if they had proceeded with the ceremony with catherine NOT on her knees.[:)]

personally, this slave would crawl down the aisle naked if Master wished it so.[;)]

Whatever is best for you I suppose. I married my dom on the 26th of August. We had a traditional wedding with our families ext. Then that night a private perminate collaring cerimony. I have been wearing his collar for three years. So we wanted to do something special in that aspect to show it was perminit. For myself I wouldn't have had it any other way. Our family is very special to us and I'm sure my dad would not be pleased seeing a collar being put around my neck. Seeing as he is a bit over protective and I'm his first born and his daughter. But I think the way their vows were expressed was beautiful. I suppose it depends on the people involved :).
