This is the question e-mailed to me by a slave:

I find myself very interested in the idea of a female run society. Do you think are women naturally superior to men? Would the world be a better place if women were in control instead of men?

This was my response:

I don't believe so. There are women who are born to be rulers, just as there are woman who are born to be slaves. The same can be said about men. I believe if everyone knew and was comfortable in their place, the world would be more stable. Your thoughts?

Some folks really subscribe to the supremacy ideal.  In my experience, it doesn't work really well for real life.

But to be fair to the OP, the 'range' of answers is the range of variations between men and women on a complete level.

Male supremacy is a belief in something 'akin' to Gor, although it doesn't specifically have to be Gorean.  And there are women who do believe that 'men are king'.

Female supremacy, as was already pointed out, has as their 'pole' OWK.  Some men wish to believe this, so they gravitate in this direction.

In the middle, people who dominate and submit to specific partners not only because of their orientation, but also who that person is 'as' a person, and is compatible.

I fall into the middle camp.  But in all fairness, there is no one 'right' answer.  Your answer is just the right answer for you.

No, it would not be a better world. The problems would be different, but we would still have problems. It has nothing to do with gender, but the ability for any group in control to do bad things without being held accountable. Men have held that position for centuries and now there is beginning to be more balance in some parts of the world. There is still a long way to go, but to overbalance in the other direction would be no better.

Another thought,

Women are generally better at some things than men and vice versa. Nothing wrong with that.. it is evident in all of nature. While there are some women who do manual labor, men are generally genetically built to do manual labor. There aren't many all women construction crews. If there are.. please let me know where they will be working next.. I will plan my vacation there and just sit and oogle at them allllllll day long!

I agree wholeheartedly and I've been saying this same thing for as long as I've been breathing. We aren't cut from cookie cutter molds and what is good for one woman/man isn't good for their entire gender. We are all INDIVIDUALS.

That is one thing that bugs me to no end, how society can lump everyone into one category based upon gender or race and assume that all are alike. It simply is not true. As I say The Goddess likes variety that is why no two people are exactly alike.

About fifteen years ago, i read a quote in a magazine that said "Only grandmothers should have the power to start wars. Would your grandmother send you into war?"
This was nearly the same time that America was involved in Desert Shield / Desert Storm.
i think that quote holds a great truth, and when i was in Iraq for a year, i kept thinking to myself that there was no way my own grandmother would have wanted me over there.
i believe that gender does not really matter in who runs society better, but i think that when it concerns conflict, destruction and death, i would much rather the person deciding war be more inclined to not inflict destruction and death.
Forgive me for being somewhat morbid, but i think that quote made sense, as i remember it on a daily basis. i think that it stuck with me for a reason.

I think in some ways it would be better,I dont think there would be quite so much fighting as Moms have this go to your room thing if you cant get along.

Some religions are responsible as to the way Women are treated,I dont think those Women could get around that even if they are in a place of power.If they believe in that religion they wouldnt be in a position of power anyway.Kind of a "Catch 22" thing.

Its the dream of sub males to have the world run by women maybe, but then it could be a nightmare for sub females and doms! 

Suitability to rule isnt something inferred by gender, or even lineage for that matter. One has to have natural aptitude, the aspiration to rule and the ability to get things done by whatever means necessary (for good or bad), but without intelligence, education, connections/influence, acceptance and popularity with one's subject, integrity and honour, one will not rule for long.

And like it or not, these requisite abilities and qualities are to be found as much in females as in males, just as much as their absence from these two genders is apparent and widespread. Our problem as a society is that too often its the best man for the job, rather than the best person.

What dreamers for such gynarchy must also bear in mind, is that from 1979 until 1987 (I think) we in the UK had a female prime minister as well as a female head of state - and the place went to shit to such an extent that even now we have not recovered from it!

In the end, exclusive female rule is as much a fantasy as having women wearing leather gear and having slaves lick their boots 24/7; its not practical and not even desirable - I mean can you imagine anything getting done that way, apart from getting soggy boots and sore bits from all that chafing!? Give me a man doing the housework whilst I post on CM in my slippers!

I have always said, "there is always someone out there a little better then me" with that said, um what was I saying again?

I just don't think it would work really just allowing  females to rule, nice thought, but no I can't see that being the best thing. I know myself, and I am just to damn mean, I mean really imagine a Control Bitch running society...again nice thought, but just wouldn't work out.

I have received this email, Myself.  I suspect this boy throws it out to anyone as some sort of conversation opener.
For Myself, I don't consider either gender to be superior.  I think both have different strengths and weaknesses.  Perhaps things might be resolved differently if Women were in charge, but I doubt we will ever put it to the test.
I believe that I will (in fact, I insist upon it) be *the* Superior in any D/s relationship I have.  But I am consistently amused at how many boys write to Me on the premise that they believe Me to be superior by virtue of the fact that I am a Woman.  They don't know Me.  And I take it for what it is.  It is what they think I want to hear and it will impress.
It doesn't.

Slaves look up to their masters...whether Man or Woman.  Although, gender has nothing do with anything.  It's more a state of mind which i serve.
