ORIGINAL: Termyn8or Now be honest, did you tear up the TV instructions or did she ? I know how it is, you plug it in and if the batteries ain't in the remote it spends a half hour looking for the remote. Then if it's got that gemstar or whatever, then it takes an hour to get done fucking with that. All you wanted to do was watch a DVD, now it's too late and it's bedtime. So because you were trying to play a kids DVD so you could sit down for a few minutes, of course you had the 89 page instruction booklet out (for a fucking TV ! ). she gets ahold of it and tears it just alittle bit. Fire comes to your eyes as you convince her to give it up and thenyou tear the thing to shreads resulting in some really good laughter. I have seen such things happen almost, let's say close. If some shit like this happens, listen up. Don't give into it, or else you and her might go on a spree, finding all the phone books and who knows what else. Incidentally, just a word to the wise, if the kid tears up books or booklets, it is time to start them reading. Not even the ABCs yet, but to read to them and get some books that have pictures. Induce interest and they won't want to tear the shit up anymore. Anyway, just proving again that I have too much time on my hands. T No I bought the TV while my son was visiting from Cali (for the labor day weekend I had a 3 mo 1 yr 2 yr and 3 yr olds) He set it up and made the CD Player work (I couldn't get it to work on the old TV). She has already gotten rid of 2 yrs worth of phone books (8 from Phoenix, 2 from Lake Havasau City, 2 from Kingman and 2 from Laughlin NV) I am afraid of taking the newpaper I would never find my floor. She can't read yet, Hell she can't even say Grandpa she calls me Nana and points at the candy dish or where I keep the glasses (she wants pepsi). Her 3 month old brother just cries. Mom and dad work evenings and instead of waking the babies up in the middle of the night they spend it with me. Mom (my grand daughter) and Dad both have been sick so I have been keeping them 24/7 lately so the kids don't get sick. You can't trust a 2 yr old. She can even defeat the child proof locks I have on my cabinets. Do you know how hard it is to get used to having catches on everything. I had to put hasps and padlocks on the doors to keep her out. She uses the shelves on the bookcase like a ladder to get to the DVDs. She has her own bed at my house. We had a severe thunderstorm and some flooding and do you think she would sleep in it. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO she came in my bed, took my pillow (there are 4 on the bed) and kicked me out with her cold feet. I need 3 slaves One for me and two to keep up with the kids. LOL
