Anyone who has been on CollarMe awhile has seen all the lovely young women in the advertising section as being on the site AmateurMatch.com. The number of nubile young ladies in my area seemed completely out of proportion to any site I have ever seen.

Well, guess what? None of the information on where they live is correct. It turns out that none of the women I checked actually live in my area. Some examples:

emma1969 supposedly lives in Mango, FL; she actually lives in New Jersey.
lilbunny7 supposedly lives in Odessa, FL; she lives in Maryland in reality.
tinadee supposedly lives in Tampa, FL; she live in Illinois.
gingko supposedly lives in Apollo Beach, FL; she lives in Hong Kong!!!!

I actually checked about 15 more, but you get the idea. None of the women I checked really lived in my state, much less in a town near me. I’m sure glad I didn’t pay this company for a membership!

I want to emphasize this is not an issue with CollarMe, but with one of their advertisers.

That's because they are using a script to read your IP and do a trace route to figure out the location of your ISP servers.  From there they put that information in the generated advertisement script to make it look like they actually have something genuine to offer.  It is no secret they are lying through their teeth though.  This has been discussed on here before.

I knew this already simply from their looks; the people where I live are far too ugly to look anything like those in the ads and be single!

Thanks for the info, I was actually amused to know those girl's lived anywhere at all. I thought they were pics stolen from other sites

Well, assholes are meant to be shitty, especially on the inside.

But seriously, if you do a quick search, I'm sure you can find about 10 others who have deigned to tell us this fact, each in their own little thread. 

Besides, who wants those girls, anyway?  If I wanted to get syphilis, I'd pick up someone at a bar.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one who wondered about all the women that were "local". I'd be interested to know why collarme continues to associate with such a fraudulent site. I asked them about it a while back, but never got a reply.

Not everyone here is an asshole. 

There was nothing wrong with your post.  You certainly didnt attack anyone or saying anything nasty to anyone.  I would think if someone doesnt like a topic or have any input except to criticise the OP,  they would simply just pass it by, rather than add to it.  I guess some people are more bored than we can imagine.  

I knew something was up with the advertisements too.  But I didnt know how it was they were nabbing everyone's location..  SirKenin, explained it quite well.  :)
