when a Dominant meets a submissive, they seem to be well suited, obviously like one another....what is protocol for how they proceed? does she have any rights to ask questions...or does she wait for the Dominant to make the next move??

You each have the same rights until an agreement of power exchange has been set in place and agreed upon.

It has been my experience that to have a truly fantastic experince with BDSM you have to (how does one say this?) connect ---for lack of another word. If he is not moving as fast as you might like be patient, perhaps he is shy like myself. While that might seem odd. let's not forget that before being a Master he was a  man. People tend to act in BDSM in many ways like they do in everyday life. Shy perhaps or assertive both personalities abound if you feel the desire to grow closer I would urge you to tell him that. Maybe (as happened to me) the green light will go off in his mind and things will progress more rapidly. Let's not forget that oftentimes one person waits for the other to step "out there" putting themself at risk of rejection. Perhaps he has that issue and has been rejected previously and the pain is still there. Everything we do requires a certain amount of chance or risk... some do not risk as easily as others, but it can haeits rewards!

Until you offer your submission to a Dominant and it is accepted, you are equals.

Therefore, you have the right to ask anything you like, and expect an honest answer.

If you don't get answers, or get the "how dare you question a Dominant" routine, run away as fast as you can.

Any Dominant that has something to hide is not going to be good for you.

Best regards,
Michael

Hell yes a sub should ask questions. Its dangerouse if we dont!! We have every right to know about them and we dont own them our submissiveness just because they say they are a Dom... A 'Dom' that wont allow questions is most likely hideing something and Id run far far away from them.
