I would in no way take my child to train physically. I would make all reference materials available and answer any questions. Very non sexual things like knots or something I'd help her learn, but nothing where implements would be used on someone with she and I doing it. Remember this is your child. Her path may have similarities, but is not yours. Some of this is due to parental identification I'm sure. Let her come to you and tell you what is working for her and support her, but don't go too far in giving her directions and expectations of growth in this arena. If possible find a Dom for her to mentor under as a potential Dom or sub. Let her find her own way & protect her. That's my advice. Suzanne

FR: LOL I always love it when people in alt lifestyles are presented with situations and they just get dismissed out of hand. It's like their minds can't grasp a certain type of dynamic beyond the horizon. People, situations like this and far more complicated and "abnormal" occur in the scene all the time. You don't hear about it as often, but it does. Just saying it's baloney because it's outside your sphere of kink normalcy doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Taking this all as hypothetical: The woman needs to be a mother first. This means letting her daughter decide things for herself. If she is 18 and doesn't know if she leans Domme or Sub.. (I'm assuming she feels the need to BE one or the other)- smacks a bit of immaturity to me. Especially if she is looking to mommy to help. What I would do is buy her a full leather Mistress outfit. That way if she decides she likes being Domme she'll be dressed for it.. If she chooses to be submissive.. well.. the less clothes the better :)

I can imagine there are a lot of situations, circumstances and dynamics that are outside my realm of experience. I also can read poorly written fiction and identify it as such.
