Why are Republicans so hell bent on ensuring a docudrama gets aired, one that even they admit is more fiction than fact?  Right before an election?  Whining about how censorship (while the feds set record fines for so called obscenity) is suddenly bad?  When they can't even seem to deal with the reality of how bad Bush has bungled the hunt for Osama himself and in fact did nothing about him prior to 9/11?

Probably the SAME reason USA-ma Bin Werewolf appeared mysteriously on TV right before(a day in fact) the 2004 presidential electionsthen disappeared again quietly into the night..

Too convenient.

I am a republican and don't care if they show it.   I just feel that it is their right if they want to.   I didn't object to any of the other movies either on whomever

Because they know that people are deeply affected by emotional things, especially if they can present it in a scandalous fashion. Americans, on average, respond to scandal...no matter if the facts are wrong or right.

They will do nothing to Osama because if they do say put him to death,  it will make him a martyr in the eyes of his followers. I believe that is the real reason they haven't done much to find him. Because if they did find him they would have to try and bring him to some form of *justice* which would send the fundemental Muslime extremists over the edge. Hell they can barely handle what is going on now, let alone the chaos the world would be plunged into if they tried to give Osama the death penalty.
You know as well as I do the Repubs always try to rally just before an election to try and further their rather odd beliefs. Personally Im a Greenie and I intend to vote that way.

Lashra,

If you voted Green in the primaries fine, but if you voted Green in the general during '00 or '04 you are to blame for Bush as much as any knuckle dragging Republican.

As for Osama, Bush has a real quandry, he should be kiddnapped, all information stripped from his mind and then his body fed to the sharks so that he simply disapears and doesn't become a martyr.  Unfortunately Bush needs the short term propaganda value his caputure would bring and so he would, as all Republicans do, look for the short term gain despite its long term costs.
