angelic -> 9/11 (9/11/2006 10:47:32 AM)

i'd like to take just a moment and remember all those lost on one of the saddest days in America.  For one moment in time, i'd like us all to forget whose right or wrong, not judge and simply remember what we were doing at the moment of impact or what we were doing the moment we heard about it... most importantly, remember those lost on this the Anniversary of 9/11.

Thank you.

I was at work.  Heard it on the radio.  fter getting home I was glued to the television screen for hours.
If it had been possible I would have went to help search for survivors.

So much innocence lost that day for no reason.

*quick reply*

I was living with my parents at the time with my son. I woke up late and went up stairs and there it was on the big screen. At first half- sleep glance I thought it was a movie or tv show.

The house was quiet so I went to find my parents. They were in their room staring at the tv. I asked them what was up and after they told me I joined them. We sat in silence for a long time and just watched.

I think I sat in front of the t.v. for a week.

Kat..taking a moment of silence

Normally i listen/watch the early morning news broadcast... for whatever reason on that day i did not... i was taking my son to school and heard all this commotion on the radio... i thought it was a commercial for a new disaster movie... when i realized to a very minute degree what was happening... i just sat in the car and cried... my son being really too young to understand... just kept asking what was wrong mommie.

It does not matter what the thread cops say.  I thank you sincerely for starting this thread.  There are plenty of negative ones about today, and not near enough positive ones in my opinion.

Today needs to be remembered.  It is a day to set aside differences and remember not only those who died and all the rescuers that worked that day, but also it brings the reality of terrorism and war close to home.

I was on My way to the store when it happened.  It was hard to make out what was going on on the radio because everything was so frantic, but the courier stopped by and told Me.  What an odd day that turned out to be...

I had taken my daughter to school and come home to lay down for a bit, when I got back up it was on the TV. Then a news flash went across the screen that they were closing the schools. I had to go pick her up and she was so confused, no one had told them anything, but they had seen teachers crying and very upset. So on the drive home I had to explain to her what had happened, the hardest part was explaining WHY.....

arissa -> RE: 9/11 (9/13/2006 11:19:46 PM)

I was at work already when we heard it on the radio, my boss quickly took the tv out of the conference room and we turned it on in the main lobby. We were shocked, and all of us sat crying. My boss then got scared, He was from India, and many times had been mistaken for another race. Within two hours his fears were calmed, many of the other companies near by came to our lobby, we all sat most of the day watching in horror. I don't think we spoke more then 5 words the rest of the day, other then "need some more tissue" I hope everyone reads the thread I wrote, well not wrote but added, it is a beautiful poem.
Never forget thier sacrifice
