tequilagirl69 -> removal of pubic hair (9/12/2006 10:21:48 PM)

I am 37 years old and never have learned how to shave my pubic hair or if i were to wax what i should use. I would prefer to shave, but never seem to get close enough and it leaves a lot of stubble even just after i have shaved. If anyone has suggestions it would be appreciated. I will be meeting a new dom very soon and he likes smooth pussies

put a mirror on top of the toilet seat and place one leg on the seat. u get a better view. or u could trim it and then ask the dom to shave you.

one would recommend trimming it and then getting a Brazilian wax.  Then you are completely bare and it is much easier to keep shaved.  Yes, the waxing is painful - but it is fairly quick and sooooooo much easier.  You can maintain it using an electric razor - buy one that specifies you can use it for 'bikini' areas - it makes it quick and easy to maintain.

Magic Powder mixed to make a depilatory. The best. Buy it in beauty supply stores. Doesn't smell bad, doesn't burn, doesn't make you itchy, doesn't make you break out. Much better than depilatories made for women, this one was created for african american men to use on their faces instead of shaving.  It also comes premixed in a squeeze tube but that's more difficult to find.

onestandingstill -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/13/2006 12:52:34 PM)

Do not shave against the direction the hair grows in. For example if it grows down, shave down or across but not up. That causes ingrown hairs.
Some little nubbs are usually left.
That's pretty normal from shaving.
I use Gilette Tripple Trac mens razors as the others break me out and give me more shaving rashes than thesee. Use shaving cream, not soap as it helps you get sloser to the skin when you shave. After you shave get a wash cloth wet with witch hazel and wipe the shaved area. That helps with the bumps too.

I have had a Dom pull out haris from my crotch with tweezers before. That was WAY ouchie. I bet the waxing is pretty intense when they rip it out too. I have not tried it as I was and am too chicken.

One thread a wile back had a girl say she used Cooter Cream to shave with and it helped her not get razor burn.  I saw it in a adult toy store for $12 a 2 ounce bottle but didn't try it.
Good luck

KatyLied -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/13/2006 1:17:32 PM)

I use the bikini zone products.  They make a shave gel and an after shave antiseptic gel.
Also a triple or quad blade works best.
The only answer, if you are going to shave, is to invest in a trimmer/shaver of some sort (they aren't expensive) and keep up the maintenance between razor shaving.  Otherwise it's a torment.

Wax is not that bad, have had a brazilian wax, it wasn't that painful, just a couple of twinges. And it leaves it smoother for much longer than shaving does.

kisshou -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/13/2006 2:13:59 PM)

This is the best advice you will get, shave tonight. It takes two days for the bumps to break out which can be itchy and look horrible. You won't know how sensitive your skin is until you try it. Hopefully your skin will tolerate it fine but this way you will have more time to do damage control. Good luck!

sharainks -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/13/2006 3:19:12 PM)

I've tried everything under the sun to try to avoid break outs and ingrown hairs. I tried for 6 years with a lot of different advice and nothing worked.  I finally solved the problem.  Shaving my pubes is now a hard limit for me. After two years I still have two bumps down there that I don't think will ever do anything but cause problems in terms of getting infected and having to pull the hairs out.

jonathan -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/13/2006 4:28:09 PM)

i started shaving almost 3 years ago just to find out what it felt like and have kept it up ever since. i got a "wet/dry" electric shaver just for that purpose, but the three-head model has a bit too big of a footprint to be easy to use and they stopped making the two-head version. i'm more interested in a depilatory that my sensitive skin can take, so i'll look for that Magic Powder. Known of it for many years, but never tried it. Much more interested in permanent removal, especially after this last weekend's weekly maintenance. Electric razors can cut, too, you know. Too many dings if i'm in a hurry.

Thanks for the links, LA!

Be very careful with Magic as I have heard several horror stories of skin burns from using it. Do a patch test every time you use it and don't leave it on too long! If you feel it burning or itching wash it off immediately.

I used a Mach 3 razor and Gillette shave foam for sensitive skin. However I've been having laser and it's much easier to keep smooth - I still have some hairs left but I just run a razor over every 3-4 days.

MistressTexas -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/13/2006 10:33:46 PM)

If you go the route of wax, get it done by a professional. The first couple times, it will hurt, and those home kits can take 3-5 tried to get all the hair off an area.

ownedgirlie -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/14/2006 12:31:01 AM)

I had bad reactions to waxing, so I can no longer do it.  I tried a Norelco and that seemed to remove the skin right along with the hair.

Then someone in a previous thread mentioned something called Coochy Cream.  Sounded like the silliest thing but everyone was raving about it.  Sweet Lord Almighty does that stuff WORK.  Now a regular ol' hand razor with LOTS of Coochy cream, I shave agaisnt the grain so to speak.  I exfoliate with Aveda or other natural products.  Finish with Nutrogena body oil and let me just say smooth as silk and no more ingrowns or bumpies.  Just be sure your razor is sharp.  One of these days I'll invest in a laser treatment and be done with this nuisance for good.

Waxing the sub.
Im 42, have been brazillian waxing for 2 yrs at his request, not my choice but hey, you get that.
Its fast, it takes 20 mins, it gets less painful each time i visit. And the regrowth is getting finer. Which means, this will be a permanent thing, as ive tried to regrow it, and its sparse and patchy, to say the least!

I now do it myself. With Nair wax, the type you dont need the strips with, just put the stuff on and rip it off, easy. Saves me $58 bux every 3 weeks, that i can spend on something else for me[;)]

When he does it for me it becomes a s/m experience[:D], its great.

I used to take ibuprofen before i went to the waxer. That helped.

eyesopened -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/14/2006 3:21:18 AM)

i shave using only tea tree oil and it works quite well with no irritation. i have very sensitive skin and it's the only product that i don't break out from.  You normally have to find the oil in african-american hair care products section of the drug store.

MstrBrianW -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/14/2006 8:35:21 AM)

I highly recommend the Brazilian followed by personal up keep with a multi trak razor. As others have said, you can trim it down to near nothing with a good electric trimmer before you go. The benefits of Brazilian - it's done by someone with experience (ask around your gf's, you'd be surprised how many are bare), the asking and the deed is good in so far as getting comfortable with being a sub and honest about it, the exposure is good for you (assuming you will be shown eventually); after personal care I insist my sub/wife masturbate so she links it with a positive reward (you could do it before and/or after the Brazilian so you're in the "right" place, ask your Dom what He'd like). Do NOT do this.  The hair needs to be at least about a quarter of an inch in order for the wax to be able to grab the hair and reach into the follicle effectively.  This is why you must wait for the hair to grow out before you go back to wax again.

I'm not getting how asking about getting a brazilian wax helps anyone be submissive or how and why they should be out about it- but perhaps you think that somehow sub = comfort with sharing everything slightly sex related.

Trust me, waxers could care LESS what they see- though they do prefer clean and not smelly.

It is important to note that the first day after waxing, the skin should be mostly just left alone and aired.  Rubbing or humidity will only agitate the bare and raw skin, as the top layers were removed with the waxing.  Do not shower or bathe or let the skin be much exposed to sun within that period as well.

All this information and more can be found in the links provided on waxing, shaving, lasers, tweezing, sugaring, threading and all other manner of hair removal and maintenence.

diamonddreamlove -> RE: removal of pubic hair (9/17/2006 2:53:12 PM)

I also horseback ride and found that shaving the day of a ride and lace undies is not the way to go at all.  It is painful and quite frankly much worse than the worst beating. OH NO maybe admitting this where He might read it is not a wise decision.
