The film wasn't intended for the left or the right. The reason being the producers know the left fully understand the basic essence of the film. They also know the right, or at least the commited right, will never get it because they can't allow their minds to be opened up as it will create all sorts of personal issues of control and self-exploration that they can't allow in order to keep a lid on personal issues. The film was intended for those blissfully unaware of what is going on around them but with a little prompting will open their eyes. There are 2 central themes in the film: 1) That we are continually being misinformed and deceived by the establishment through the media tool. Many of the scenes appear to be real (obviously they can't be because Bush is still with us) - the point is to show that with a little careful editing we can be led to believe all sorts and things aren't always what they seem. 2) Our civil liberties are being eroded and we are moving towards fascist police states where people can be locked up without a trial or even an explanation and our governments would like us all to carry ID cards. Add to this the phone tapping and you can only conclude that anyone who thinks we are living in a democracy is so far manipulated they refuse to believe what is staring them in the face. Apparently, it will be screened on British tele next month - Channel 4. I can think of some Brits on this board who could really do with watching this. Hopefully, it will put the trivial matters of immigration, race and multi-culturalism into perspective when you begin to understand the real and only threat to our needs is a dictatorial government driven by business interests. This "war on terror" horseshit. This is the perfect example of how blind we are as a society - the fact we will put up with this nonsense. A researcher at the University of Ohio has looked at the facts and concluded that, in a year, more people die in the US in their bathtubs than they do worldwide from terrorist activities. Do we need a war on bathtubs!? I will bet my right arm that with a little propaganda our governments could lead a fair proportion of society into believeing that a war on bathtubs is necessary!
